SOURCE: need to put transmission fluid in my crv honda 2000 i would like to know what is the best type of fluid

You should just go to Honda and purchase it from them. You can go up to the parts counter and either give them your year/make/model or your vin and they will give you exactly what fluid(its the same on all A/T honda's) and the correct amount need. They made the car, they know best.

SOURCE: Battery replaced in 2000 Honda

The reset code for many Honda products is found in the glove box. Open the glove box and on the back of the door you should see a small sticker with two sets of numbers on it. The number set with 5 digits is your radio reset code. When you get the message "code" enter the numbers in sequence using the radio preset buttons. If entered correctly, your radio shoud turn on immediately.

God Bless and good luck

1999 Honda CRV. What do these codes mean P1399 and P0141.

The OBD-II error code P1399 and P0141 for a Honda CRV 1999 are as follows:
P1399 - This code indicates that there is a problem with the misfire detection system in the vehicle. This code is often accompanied by other codes that indicate which specific cylinder is misfiring. Causes of this code could include a faulty ignition system, a clogged fuel injector, or a problem with the engine control module (ECM).
P0141 - This code indicates a malfunction in the oxygen sensor located on Bank 1, Sensor 2. This sensor measures the oxygen content in the exhaust gas after it has passed through the catalytic converter. Causes of this code could include a faulty sensor, a damaged sensor wiring harness, or a problem with the vehicle's computer.
It is recommended that you have a certified mechanic diagnose and repair these issues to ensure proper operation of your vehicle.

Here is a site on how to replace it. But first make sure that the leak is at the thermostat and not a hose or a bad water pump. This can be done by using a cooling system pressure pump and putting the cooling system under pressure then looking for the source of the leak. A parts store may let you borrow a pump, or let a mechanic test the system for you. Always make sure that there is no pressure on the cooling system by squeezing the radiator hose before attempting to remove the radiator cap.

Check engine light

Before you start replacing everything it is definitely worth investing $60 for a code reader to see exactly what the code is. We recently spent a ton of money on our 2000 CRV with persistent check engine. Dealership replaced rotor, cap, wires, plugs etc. Turned out to be burnt exhaust valves. Rebuilt engine was bad enough without all the money we spent for no reason before we found the real problem. At least with the code reader you will know where to start looking.
Good Luck.
