Where are the spark plugs located on this car
The spark plugs are right on top of the engine. In one of those years, Ford eliminated the high tension wires, and gave the spark plugs their own coils. If there are high tension (spark plug) wires, all you have to do to access them is to remove the air baffle that sits on top of the engine. It interferes with removal of the plugs. Then you will also need air to clean out the wells before you remove the plugs. Then use a 5/8" socket to loosen the plugs, and a hand driver with a piece of hose on the end to retrieve, and restart the plugs.
If you do not have spark plug wires, then from what I saw when looking at a 2000 GM, was that the fuel rail went over the top of the spark plug coils. In this event, the fuel rail/injectors would also have to be removed because they are in the way of removing the coils.
hope this helps !!!!!!!
