The O2 sensor is on the engine side (up stream) before the catalytic converter in the exhaust pipe, it is barrel shaped about the size of a jumbo magic marker.

SOURCE: Replace crankshaft position sensor

Remove the left front wheel....(drivers side). Remove all accessory belts. Remove the crankshaft shaft pulley.......remove the plastic lower timing belt cover.....and there it is! It is mounted with one bolt.
The wiring runs down the right side of the timing cover while looking at it from the drivers side of the car.

Where is the crankshaft positioning sensor located on 1998 isuzu trooper 3.5?

i can answer for USA, but not in Canada.
why not post symptoms and make this 10 x more easy.
(CKP 101 class)
the crank sensor if fitted (some engine have none before 1996)
can only be in 3 places 4 deeper.
at crank front pulley (behind)
in mid block (yes funny placed) Bingo?
at fly wheel edge or hidden behind it (trans pulled then fly)
so where is yours. well, the fsm covers this or on any car you can attempt to buy one for free at any online dealers parts pages.
if full graphic details of it and its placement.

the 6VE1 engine, knowing the engine real name make finding facts 10x more easy and free photos of all parts on it, "goggle that"

lets try the free way.
but they have no photos of all engine parts, but do sell it. CKP,$$$

just answers dot com (ASE pros)
states (first google hit btw)
the reluctor ring is located between rod bearing 2 and 3

finding some parts for Isuzu cars, is very hard lacking real dealers with all parts. but you can buy this in any store. after market parts abound, you can not mix sensors from one engine to the next.
do not attempt that, match your engine, and year,!

there it is, does a photo make it easier to find?

2000 isuzu trooper 3.0 dieasel

The timing ring on the black of the flywheel is moving out of range of the crankshaft position sensor when you push the clutch .
Move the sensor in a bit closer but dont let it touch the ring and have your crank end float checked by a shop .

1992 isuzu trooper 3.2 DOHC 4X4 LOW IDLE GOES UP AND DOWN 750 RPM TO 1500 RPM

I had the same trouble with my 93 Trooper.

I went on a sensor-changing spree.

The one sensor that fixed this idle problem was the throttle position sensor.

You can get one here.

Throttle Position Sensor

It's very easy to change, and fixes the problem instantly.

Good luck.
