SOURCE: Changing Fuel Filter in a 1988 Plymouth Reliant
It's located behind the passenger side rear wheel and looks like a round silver canister. When you buy the new one, you will know exactly what you're looking for. I takes about 10 to 15 minutes to change. Just jack up the rear end and put a drip pan on the ground for any overflow when you take it off, then pop on the new one. They should be changed on an average of every 10 to 15,000 miles.
Peace,
Chief
SOURCE: when i put my 1989
The one thing I found out about the '89 Reliant is that the AFTERMARKET motor mounts do not last on these vehicles. I finally had to bite the bullet and pay for the Chrysler OEM motor mounts, which are naturally more expensive, but I never had any shaking problems again. Peace, Chief
