Check the pulley alignment if they are not aligned they eat the belts, if they have the ribs to sharp they willcut thru the belts, Inspect the crankshaft pulley if it turns too freely it may be loose from vibration rubber, replace it.

I got into my 2006 trailblazer today and when I accellorate it make a loud squealing noise

Hi,

It sounds like the black serpentine belt. It's about $20-$40 and easy to replace. Or it could be the pulley. First check that belt.

2008 santa fe front noise

Is it a "wine" noise that gets louder when you rev it up? Sounds like an idler pulley. Is it a 3.3L motor?

There is a squeeling by the belt/pulley area

It's a loose belt for sure.

If you have a spring loaded tensioner, and the belt has stretched with time, the tensioner will reach the limits of its travel without tensioning the belt enough to prevent that squeal.

If it has an adjustable tensioner, tighten the belt up.

I get a loud squeal from the fan area only when

It could be a pulley. Best way to tell is to remove the belt and turn each pulley one at a time and see if you can either feel one not turning freely or try and duplicate the squeal. Keep in mind there is no load on the pulley without the belt on it so it might not be as pronouce as it would be with the belt on.

2006 kia sorento makes a squealing sound under

It is either the tesnioner or the belt....easy way to find out is to spray the pulley that has no grooves....that's the tensioner. Spray it with WD-40 or equivalent, in the middle of the pulley. That is the bearing housing. Spray only that first. Start the motor...if it goes away, then you have found your problem. Try not to spray the belt.

If it still squeals, spray the belt with the engine running. If it squeals, replace the belt.

Has anything been done to the motor recenlty? If so, one of the pulleys may be a little off-centered.

Let me know what you find.
