2008 gmc acadia chime will not stop

I believe that the temp sensor is bad but car is stopped and sensor is normal but still chime is going off like it is reading that it is over heating

Did you try unplugging it ,then turn key on then plug it back in ,note the change , the other is to change it out with a new one

Traction control issues are usually a bad reading for a wheel speed sensor. If you have the computer scanned it should tell you where it is registering an error.

Wheres the coolant temperature sensor on a 2008 gmc acadia?

Usually located near the thermostat housing, screwed into the intake manifold. Should be two sensors, one having only one wire feeds dash light, one with two wires feeds computer to adjust fuel mix depending on engine temp.

Starting related issues witha 2008 Acadia

Locate the starter and connect test light to the small wire from the ignition and other end to ground.start the engine and the light will go ON.if the light go OFF and the noise you hear noise the starter is bad.
if the light stay ON is electrical problem.
let me know abowt the test light resolt and I will post more on el.problem

Acadia error external temperature

the FSM shows the tests.
they connect a scan tool and see if the sensor works.
id bet you can do that.?
so that leaves guessing, bad wire,/conn,or bad sensor.

You might just have a wire loose somewhere. My 96 Cadi did that a couple of times lastyear, then it was fine. Hasn't done it since.` So, who knows! Sorry, not much help to you.

No sound on my GMC acadia radio

Do you have sound for the blinkers or door chimes? If no, then it's probably the amp that blew out. Depending on the model this is usually the part, but check with the dealer as well.

it sounds as though your acadia may not actually be overheating, it sounds more like the tempeture sensor is bad, if its "froze" at a certain reading this could fool your computer, you should be able to replace this part for around 20 or 30 dollars. hope this helps
