indicates that the torque converter servo/solenoid has a problem is auto or the clutch is slipping if manual.
If manual check for cable failure or clutch master cylinder problems with a blocked compensating port
I do not understand what you mean when you say you "cleaned the valves." It might have been better to clean the injectors. If this is a diesel that is probably what you want done. I would have a qualified mechanic check your injectors and perform a tune up on this vehical whether it is gas or diesel. This is just a good maintenance practice and should not cost much but I think that is your problem. Good Luck.
If the engine is a diesel that is equipped with a turbocharger, I would look for a pressured air leak at any and all hose connections. Especially when the engine is running at accelerated speeds which cause the turbo to operate as a charger. Check any and all belts for slipping, Alternator, P/S,etc.,
How many miles on that rig? The 4.7 motor is a great motor.
Sounds like a fuel starvation issue. Might also be a trans issue. Does the trans seem to be shifting properly?? Could it be starting in 2nd gear which is the "limp mode" for Chrysler trannies?
IT SOUNDS LIKE THE TPS (THROTTLE POSITION SWITCH/SENSOR) IS BAD, BUT TO BE SURE OF THE PROBLEM ,YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE IT HOOKED TO A DIOGNOSTIC SCANNER & IT WILL PINPOINT EXACTLY WHAT THE PROBLEM IS.
