It`s a 2000 buick regal ls. make sure when it gets hot eh fans are running. There is a coolant sensor just below the top radiator hose ON THE ENGINE. This sensor tells the fans when to go on when the engine gets hot and also serves as a low coolant sensor. unplug the sensor and replace it. use a open end or box wrench. if your quick you can replace it and only loose a few ounces of coolant. Hope this helps and God Bless :O)

SOURCE: 1999 Buick regal Security light on. Won't start.

I had the same problem with my 95 Lesabre. The owners manual says to take the key out, and wait 3 minutes(until the light goes off). It should fire right up.

The low coolant sensor should be located in the passenger side radiator tank, You need to take it out and clean the sludge off of it for it to work right. Or you can just unplug it and forget about it, the light will go out and it won't cause any problems.

Buick Regal supercharger 1998, while driving along the steering wheel tighten hard to turn, after pouring power steer fluid under the hood, the temperature light came on,the car ran hot, no smoke.

Do you mean the engine overheat warning? The power steering problem is most likely a defective steering rack, they always act up when hot due to internal seal leakage and fluid bypassing the seal.

A 2000 buick Regal is running hot and stalling when taking off. before that I bush the rear defrost and the heater fun and rear defrost stopped working. It was a couple week before it ran hot.

Check for a stuck thermostat first. Open the radiator cap when the engine is cold. Start the engine and watch for rapid water movement in the radiator. If you see that then the thermostat is ok. Now watch for bubbles in the water in the radiator. If you see any, that indicates a blown head gasket. You might want to install a back flush kit to flush any rust buildup in the radiator. Auto parts stores have them for a few dollars.

Buick Regal problem-help!!!!!!!!

Have you done the basic maintenance. Spark plugs, oil change, ect.? As for the fans, if you have a/c one of them should only come on when your a/c is on. The other is regulated by a relay so when your car reaches a certain temp it kicks on.

1991 buick regal starting and running problem

Sounds like your car is overheating. If you have a temp gauge it should show that. If you just have an idiot light, by the time it comes on it's already too hot to operate. AFTER the car is cooled down, open the radiator cap to see how much coolant has been lost. Chances are there is alot missing. Add WATER (no sense in adding coolant if it's going to leak out) and idle the car at home. Look underneath as it warms up to find where the leak is.

I have a 2000 Buick Regal. The battery was changed and now it acts like the security system is on. When you turn the key to on all the dash lights cycle on and off and car wont start.

A coworker of mine said he had the same problem with a GM product the same year. I tried it and it worked, so simple. All you have to do is pull the headlight switch on and then start the car, let it run for a few minutes and now it works normal.
