Hi,I just replaced mine.It is not that hard.just buy a manual on it at autozone,and it gives the specifications and step by step directions to dissassemble,and reassemble.I put in new plugs,thermostat,and flushed the motor for around $200.00.runs great!

check linkage on top of transmission and make sure it moves while engaging shift lever. You may have also left a light on while doing work on van, check all interior lights that may still be on.

Remove cup holder ash tray mazda mpv 2004

To remove the cup holder/ashtray in a 2004 Mazda MPV, you can follow these steps:
  1. Open the cup holder/ashtray and locate the small tab on the right-hand side of the unit.
  2. Using a flathead screwdriver or other suitable tool, gently press down on the tab to release the retaining clip.
  3. While holding down the tab, pull the cup holder/ashtray unit towards you to release it from the center console.
  4. Once the unit is free, disconnect any wiring harnesses or light bulbs attached to it, if applicable.
To reinstall the cup holder/ashtray, simply reverse these steps, making sure the retaining clip snaps back into place when reinserting the unit into the center console.

How can undo the trim around the radio of montana 2004 to replace radio of montana 2004 Van

1. Open cup holder and remove (2) Phillips 7mm screws.

2. Unsnap and remove power outlet assembly from lower storage, unplug power outlet wires and put assembly in a safe location.

3. Open lower storage door and remove (2) 7mm screws inside.

4. Models with DVD - Remove DVD player and remove (2) 7mm screws from behind and (2) 7mm screws near the floor.

5. Remove lower storage compartment, put it in a safe location.

6. Remove (2) 7mm screws (facing up) from the cup holder.

7.Remove (3) 7mm screws and remove radio.

open the cup holder and under side of holder is a tag that needs to be pushed down whilst pulling gently on the cup holder , if the tag is not under neath it will be towards the dash end of the cup hole , depends on the part supplied at time of manufacture

the bulb is Probably burnt out you will need to take apart the top part of the center counsel first by taking out the cups in the cup holders then the bottom cup holder will have a screw in it you will need to remove this screw and then pop up the rest of the counsel it should come fairly easy after you have removed that piece next you will need to remove the cover with all of the letters on it (this is held on by clips) you should be able to again get it very easy. after removing all of that you will see the bulb.replace the bulb and go back through the steps to assemble and you are all done

Changing raido 2004 chevrolet radio

it's clips and screws - some of them a pain in the rear end to get at.  You have to remove the cup holders to get at the screws to the sides of them.  then it will just pull out (it will likely take some persuasion)
also,a couple side notes - most aftermarket radios will require a separate power feed from the fuse panel on the passenger side.  (easy to run - but you will have to pull the glovebox.  (and while you're there - it's a great time to replace the 2 cabin air filters).
2nd sidenote - you will likely have people tell you that you have to purchase an adaptor box to plug in, as the "airbag is controlled by the factory stereo", or the horn, headlights, interior lights etc is controlled via the stereo.  They are full of it - the horn is a simple circuit, controlled by the button in the steering wheel, and the airbag is controlled by the computer.  the stereo controls the music.... that's it!
