SOURCE: REPLACE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY IN 2000 LINCOLN TOWNCAR

Open the hood and make sure the car and the lights are off.
Remove the plastic protective cover. There are 3 knobs, turn halfway and pull.Put aside and out of the way.
Remove the three pins that are holding the light assembly in place. These are flat rods with a little bend at the end.
Twist and un-plug the lights, now you can remove the whole lens.
The light bulbs can also be removed and replaced from this point.
Make sure all the bulbs are working before you put it back together.

SOURCE: I have a 2001 Lincoln Towncar. The air bag light comes on

1st when the airbag light is on the system is disabled, so if u have an accident they will not work, as to the common cause read below.
When the airbag light is on it means a fault has occurred in the system and the airbag diagnostic monitor has disabled the system, the most common problem that turns the light on is a break in the connection to the steering wheel mounted airbag, this is due to a rotating ribbon contact that breaks under the steering wheel that connects the airbag to the wiring harness and the diagnostic monitor, the part is called th clock spring contact, a coiled up ribbon electrical contact that turns with the wheel

SOURCE: Need computer location in 2005 lincoln towncar

The code is on a paper label attached to a large plastic box containing several wiring harnesses behind the driver side door panel. Posts about it being on the trunk hinge arms, behind trunk panels, on computer module, behind the fuse box, and 'you have to go to the dealer' are incorrect for this series of Town Cars. After you remove the panel (you do not need to disconnect any wires), you will see the box up near the rear view mirror. An example code (3/4) (1/2) (5/6) (9/0) (1/2). If you press the keypad buttons in this order, left to right, the door locks will operate in the manner described in your opwner's manual.

Do a search on door panel removal to learn how to remove the panel. There are some good posts on this topic - some even have pictures.

I have a 92 Lincoln towncar I put new motor and nothing. The switch turns I hear the electrical click of power but only when on and off. The fuses are good. Please help im at a lose on what to do.

I am assuming you have an automatic transmission - maybe your "Neutral Safety Switch" is unplugged or defective.
Also make sure your "Fusible Links" are intact.
There is also a possibility of the "Starter Motor or Solenoid" having issues.
Let me know how that works for you
thanks

After scanning my 91 lincoln towncar code 327 shows .plus car will hardly stay at a idle and dies when im driving 60 miles an hour it runs good but when i come to a stop it dies

Code 327 is caused by too low of a voltage signal.

Removing the throttle body and cleaning the passages behind it where gunk builds up can help.

But this code is suggesting you replace your DPFE Sensor.
If problem occurs intermittenly after that, then replace the EGR Valve.

Im not getting any power to bank 2 sensor 2 on my 2001 lincoln ls. the code is po156 please help

You need to check the connector or plug on the O2 Sensor- for moisture etc.
Also the heater in the sensor may have just failed.
Make sure the sensor did not come loose,in the exhaust pipe. Mine, on my 2004 did,or was that way from the factory.
Also remove and clean you MAF Sensor,in the intake ducting, between the air filter and throttle body. Use CRC Mass Air Flow Cleaner --No. 05110
If you don't have a scanner, about all you can do is change the sensor. I do not like throwing parts at things. Always test, then replace.

I have a 1999 lincoln continental and when i turn the car on the rear air suspension goes down and does not lift up, and my muffler is nearly dragging how can i fix this problem

You should call around to Autozone and Oreillys and ask if they have a scanner for the air ride. Then if no luck its either a dealer or a frame and body shop.

The system can be fixed with Salvage parts. Some parts sell as reconditioned like the bags. But having someone hook up the right scanner will save you time and money. There are some adjustments that need to be made for the small parts so everything works together properly.

How do you replace the automatic air flow control switch ( changes air from hot to cold )in a 1997 Lincoln Town car

Hi, you have to remove the whole dashboard (comes off as one-piece but you need another person to help with removal and the steering wheel needs to be lowered). Once dashboard is removed, look towards the center of windshield on top. Look for a small white colored box on top. This box is what needs to be changed. When replacing, make sure to replace with one for auto and not manual. There is a difference and the manual one will not work for the automatic one. This is a notorious problem with towncars!!

1995 Lincoln towncar loses power on acceleration

You either have a bad fuel pump so its not getting enough fuel, the MAF is faulty and isnt reading the air flow correctly. or fuel filter could be blocked.
