Hi Joseph
Probably has some kind of wire filter in the gas input line to stop people siphoning.

If you block the inserted hose with a rag around it and use an air hose to slightly pressurise the tank (through the rag) this will force the fuel out the hose. CAUTION: Be aware this can be very dangerous as airated gasoline is very explosive from any ignition points. Sparks. Flames and even Static Electricity build up

Good Luck

You can't. There is a roll over valve/ball in the neck of the tank preventing a siphon hose from entering the tank

SOURCE: OK let me put it this way i can't siphon gas from my 2002 Acura MDX,does anyone know why and if theres a way i can without messing up my SUV? Thank You

It's most likely the fact that there's an anti-syphon trap in the filler pipe.

How do I syphon the gas out of my 2002 1500 Chevrolet Avalanche.

Siphoning gas out of a vehicle can be a hazardous and potentially dangerous task. Additionally, it may be ******* in some jurisdictions. If you need to remove gas from your 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche, it is recommended that you consult a professional mechanic or automotive technician for assistance.
If you still choose to proceed with siphoning the gas yourself, here are some general steps to follow:
  1. Park the vehicle on level ground and turn off the engine. Be sure to engage the parking brake.
  2. Locate the fuel tank. In the case of your 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche, the fuel tank is located underneath the truck bed.
  3. Locate the fuel line. This is the hose that connects the fuel tank to the engine.
  4. Insert a siphoning hose into the fuel tank through the fuel filler neck. Make sure the hose goes all the way to the bottom of the tank.
  5. Use a manual pump or a vacuum pump to start the siphoning process. Be sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions for the pump you are using.
  6. Once the fuel starts flowing, make sure to keep the siphoning hose lower than the fuel tank to maintain the flow of gas.
  7. Continue siphoning until you have removed the desired amount of gas from the tank.
  8. Once you are finished, remove the siphoning hose and dispose of the gas in accordance with local regulations.
Again, please exercise caution when attempting to siphon gas from your vehicle, and consider seeking professional assistance to avoid any accidents or legal issues.

2003 ford windstar pumping gas spits back

Assuming the spitting happens when the tank is NOT full, almost always it is caused by a blockage of some kind. Either the fill hose is kinked, or someone has stuck something down the filler tube. Check for blockage. One way to check, is to get about 4 feet of large (1/2" ?) clear plastic tubing and run it down the filler. Before you go too far past the neck opening, be sure you will be able to pull it out without getting stuck. Have a screw driver handy to release the trap door if necessary. You should be able to stuff at least two feet down. Though it is possible some filler hoses have a wire spiral trap device to keep things from getting into the tank, like siphon hoses, etc.

I need to drain old fuel from gas tank

Two methods:
1. Get a siphon pump with a really long (at least 5 feet) to go in through the gas filler cap.

2. The way I did it was I disconnected the fuel line from the fuel pump assembly on the tank, attached my siphon pump hose to the fuel line and pumped it clear.

How would i siphon gas out of a 2001lincoln continental? There seems to be something blocking and i dont seem to be getting anything..

Very hard to do on cars these days-most have an anti-siphon screen or baffle in the filler hose.
If you are going to remove the tank, lower it a bit first, then take off the filler hose, and you could get a siphon hose in then.
Another possibility is to remove the fuel line at the filter or someplace handy, and jumper the pump from a battery to pump the gas out.

Vehicle will only accept fuel at a very low pump rate. It is a 2002 xg350 Hyundai.

there are several things that can cause this. There is a vent hose or the main hose to the tank from the filler that could be kinked, collapsed orr plugged. There may be a emissions valve on the filler neck that is bad too, they are not easy to deal with because the tank should be emptied and the vehicle raised and remove the gas tank. Difficult to do and dangerous due to fire and explosion hazard.

I need to siphon the gas out of the car. I bought a siphon kit and put the correct hose from the pump into the tank, but the hose does not even get wet from the gas. The car was just filled up to capacity...

as you are pushing the hose in the tank twist the hose so it rolls over and it should go in, the hose will probably need to be three feet long, you may have to go to lowes or home depot and get a longer hose that will also fit the siphon pump
