you shouldnt need to remove the rear valance to fit a towbar ,i would suggest you contact a authorised towbar fitting workshop as it is not permitted to fit a towbar yourself ,it has to be done by a company with the correct authorised dealership as the towbar has to be certified with a europeon certificate of homoglonation and a plaque .then vehicle has to be presented at the vehicle inspection station for conformity .Then the paperwork of the vehicle changed to show its fitted with a towing hitch and a fee paid for this service .alicantecoli_18.jpgalso the electrics have to be connected by a auto electrician as every annual vehicle inspection the electrics are tested as well where a towbar is fitted .

Who do I remove rear seat for a BMW 760li?

Most rear seats need to be unlatched from the very bottom on each side. Try sliding the driver and passenger seats fully forward. With your back against the front seat press forward toward the trunk on the bottom of the rear seat on one corner at a time near the floor and lift up. This should release the latch. To replace the seat simply slide the seat back into place with the front slightly raised upward and push the seat in toward the trunk then push down til you hear the latch catch.

I have just fitted two new real coil springs to my Ford escort mk4 cabriolet but now the rear left is sitting nearly an inch higher than the rear right what could be causing this ??? thanks .

The coils of the springs have to be positioned so that the end of the coil is in a depression in the seat . check that the spring that is sitting high is fitted the right way up and that the end is in the seat correctly. Normally coil springs have one end ground off so that it is flat while the other end just has the steel cut off. This is the end that has to be positioned correctly. Make sure that the rubber cushion pad is fitted correctly for the flat end.

Remove rear seat

To remove the bottom, just pull upward on the seat in the middle. Do you have the fold down rear seat or the fixed one. The fixed one has bolts near the top on the sides and at the lower edge slightly inward on both sides

How do you take the back seats out of a bmw 320i se to fit seat covers

To remove the rear seats, force your hands under the front of the seat bottoms and lift with a quick, short tug. The bottom cushion lifts out with no tools. There will be a couple of bolts holding the seat backs in place.

FUEL PUMP

Hello!

The fuel pump on a 3 series BMW is located under the rear seat.
To access it you will need to remove the lower part of the rear seat by pulling it up.
Then an oval shaped cover on the passengers side should become visible.
Under this cover is the fuel pump.
I would suggest taking the cover off and inspecting for signs of replaced parts.
(new parts should be shiny ;)

Hope this helps!

Replacing boot struts

Hi GB52. Just done this myself, should take 15 minutes perside max. 1/ remove rear seat cushion by bumping the centre back and up, lower the back rests down. 2/ Unscrew the striker plate from the seat side bolster and the bolt at the lower edge of the bolster Removing the bolster takes a bit of fiddling. 3/ use a flat-head screwdriver to release the strut spring clips - use the new ones as a guide. 4/ remove the old strut and fit the new one. reinstall the bolster, bolt and strike plate. note; when replacing the rear seat cushion, ensure the seat belts are fed through first and check that the seat retaining clips properly engage the floor panel brackets.

Hope this helps,
