3.0 V6 water pump recently changed
No water circulation blockage in radiator, check for temp different in top and bottom of radiator
F your engine is overheating, Try this procedure:
Just because the water pump was just replaced don't mean it wont fail. Pull the thermostat out and put back together with out thermostat (for test purposes). Fill cooling system and run unit with radiator cap off. If water pump is good you will see water circulating and swirling where radiator cap would be.If it is good turn heat control for heater to off or cold position put radiator cap on and run vehicle about 1200 RPMs for a while.(note it will take a lot longer to get water hot with out thermostat in). Watch your temp gauge and when it comes up some feel the top and bottom hoses to see if there temperatures are close to each others if they are water is flowing thru the radiator.Bottom hose will be cooler than the top because the water cools off going thru the radiator. Now open the heater valve on the heater to hot it should blow warm air about what the bottom radiator hose is. Take the thermostat inside and put it in a pot on the stove with a thermometer and see if it opens at the temperature that is stamped on it. The above steps will show you where you have a problem or problems at. hope this helps you out.
Ck. your antefreez make sure full dont work look for valve on heater hose make sure it opens if not open by hand see if hose get hot a trie
