Did you check fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge ? Did you check the mass air flow sensor ? Did you hook it up to a diagnostic scan tool to check engine data PID'S ? Hunt an guessing doesn't work ..... Test crank an cam sensors ! How to test cam or crank sensor hall effect type
Cadillac is fond of multiple relays / sensors - although first I would suspect the crank shaft sensor, next I would test the Mass Air Flow sensor and Idle Air Control motor, Getting it scanned would be recommended, as you could throw a lot of parts at it and not cure the problem. It could also be a corroded connector for one of the above mentioned sensors - or a sensor I didn't list!
Hope this helps and thanks for using Fixya!
There are 12 common sensors and 10 internal sensors. The most common that often fail (MAP), (TPS), (CAM), (IGN), (CRANK) MAP is your mass air flow which is located at the beginning of your air intake, TPS is the throttle body position sensor, the CAM is the cam shaft position sensor (transmission), IGN ignition position sensor and the CRANK sensor is located near the bottom driver side front
The code is for a missing cam signal, but your car uses a distributor instead of cam and crank sensors. The problem may be the ignition module located inside the distributor.
