Do you have rear heat and a/c if so your heater core is leaking or one of the coolant lines to the rear heater are leaking. if coming from a drain its the heater core. Look under and see what its coming from. The lines need a special tool to get off J38723 is the number for the tool not mater which its leaking you need the tool to get the lines off. The lines run under from front to back, the heater core is inside the quarter trim panel and in a case that you take apart the Rt. inner wheel house also has to be removed for the lines that is where they connect to the heater core.

Do you mean antifreeze is blowing out of the back of the truck? as in blowing out of the exhaust? it is unclear what your question is but if this is it, then your head gasket is blown

I don't understand the question..are you talking about a film on the back bumper, a puddle on the ground, or liquid pooling in the cargo area?...

What do you mean "antifreeze is blowing in the back of the truck", that is not clear at all.

SOURCE: 98 yukon heat not working, antifreeze low

Fill the tank with the CORRECT antifreeze up to the fill line (There should be two lines - a "Hot" and a "Cold"). Find out where you are losing your antifreeze - look for a puddle under the vehicle after you fill it. If no puddle, run until the vehicle is warm, shut it down, and look for a puddle.

If your cooling system was empty, you may have to bleed the system after filling the tank. A shop manual for the vehicle should tell you whether you have to bleed the system.

Rear heating problem

Hi Jeff. I had the same problem, along with others on my 03 Denali. Along with not blowing hot air from the rear heating system, I had hot air blowing out of the passenger side and cold air out of the drivers' side vents. My battery would go low and had the same smell. I took my Denali in to the dealer and they found it was a bad Fan Control Module. They replace it and everything worked well after. It cost me $293 for parts and labor. Hope this helps.

there are two heater cores. autozone.com has a great turorial on how to replace. You could try to blow low pressure air through the heater core to clear out any gunk.

Antifreeze leak

I assume the vehicle has a heater in the rear. If so, the problem is probably either the heater core leaking, a hose leaking, or a hose connection leaking. If you want to further investigate and possibly fix yourself, let me know.

Yukon A/C, rear blows cold, front ducts a LOT warmer.

There is only one A/C system split into 2 zones. Check the blend door actuator, it may have failed in one position or something may be jamming it. Also check the control panel in the dash, My 98 yukon did the same thing, no matter what temp you selected for the front it would blow at about 70 degrees. There is a circuit board in the control panel that gets corroded and one of the circuits controls blend door operations. Have a look.
