If it's the timing belt you may have it a tooth or two out. Take the cover off and turn the engine till the timing marks are on and see if they are all on their marks. Sounds like you have it out of timing, If what you changed it the serpentine belt .... that's a different story. You may just have something unplugged you never put back.

1999 nissanpathfinder where is the ignition module and coil located

coil is located inside of the distributor assembly. so is the crank sensor. did you have the timing belt replaced?? the distributor is driven by l/h side cam shaft, but if the timing belt breaks, the cam will not spin and you will not have any spark, because the distributor is not spinning. remove the distributor cap and crank engine and observe if the rotor is spinning. it should be. start there.

If it ran prior to removing the distributor, it maybe 180 degrees out. Remove the cap, leave the rotor in place, loosen the bolt and lift it up,turn rotor until it is on the opposite side and place it back in.

1985 Ford ranger died and will not start....getting gas..have fire to the distrubutor, will turn over but not start.

You have fire to the Distributor, but do you have fire at the plugs? The 4 cylinders had an external timing belt behind a shroud. Look to see if you broke a timing belt. Or you could have a bad stator or module in the Distributor.

I have replaced broken timing belt on 1999 daewoo nubira and all timing marks line up but it will not idle properly and knocks

did the timing belt snapbefore you replaced it? if so you may have bent some valves. if not recheck timing marks and distributor position.
