Question about 2002 BMW 3 Series
I am assembling the engine
If you are assembling the engine you must have a shop manual to provide torque values, etc. I expect it has the timing procedure. If you don't have one, I highly recommend you buy one because if you mess up the cam timing you will have wasted much work and $.

a timing chain, to start with.. does your car motor run bad or will not start up.. but some of their cheaper models had timing belts. recommend, you have it checked by a pro..

To reset the service interval indicator you need to buy a "Peake" / "Baume" or similar OBDII reader / resetter.
Cost about $150 - $200 ea.
