As far as the stalling is concerned, you probably should clean the throttle body, the throttle plate and passage area build up grime that prevents the plate from closing completely at idle. The cleaning procedure is fairly easy if you are somewhat handy and familiar with your engine. Otherwise have a mechanic do the job. Also make sure the battery is disconnected for about 30 minutes while the cleaning is done, this will force the PCM to relearn to a clean throttle body.
Your tachometer failure is most likely a bad stepper motor that drives the tach. There are services on Ebay that rebuild instrument clusters.
For the check engine light, go to Autozone or similar place and have them scan for stored codes, these codes will give you a better idea of an intermittent problem.

sounds like you have a bad fuel pump.Or possibly a clogged fuel filter.

Need to check the fuses in the fuse panel. Make sure your fuse to the ECM or any other functions are in working order and there is no damage to the ECM docking post. You can try resetting the ECM by turning the ignition key to the on position and "enhine not running" and pull the fuse to the ECM ut for 30 seconds and place it back in. Once the fuse is placed back in you should hear the fuel pump working energizing the fuel line and start the engine. the engine may stall, but let it. Just restart the engine, the ECM is just relearning the engine and drive train. So go for a test drive and all DTC codes will have been erased, so any new check engine light will be new issues that needs to be addressed. good luck

This is very common, in fact GM issued an extended warranty on the gage clusters from 2003-2005. Unfortunately the extended warranty has expired. The cluster either needs to be replaced or rebuilt. I know there are several companies that specialize in rebuilding them, but it takes 3-5 days and the vehicle is not drivable during that time and the repair is not cheap. I just checked and there is one on e-bay for $90 that may work for you. ok well try this when it stalls see if spark is present and if it is not and it cools down and starts then you might need to replace ignition control module good luck

You can clear it with a scan tool, or it will clear it self after 3 start up's if the ABS issue has been addressed and will clear from it's history after 100 start up's. The other thing you can do is to clear the ECM for every DTC codes. Place the ignition key to the run position and pull the ECM (Batt) Fuse from the fuse box for 30 sec. Then place it back in, wait 10 seconds and start the Tahoe. THE ENGINE MAY STALL, BUT LET IT. Just start it up again and let idle for 1 min then go for a test drive. The ECM is relearning the whole engine and transmission, if there is any issues the MILL light will come on and the codes will be new. If the light does not come one then there is no DTC codes and the Tahoe is clean like the day it came off the assembly line. Good luck and hope this helps.

try changing the air filter ,i had a problem ,at ilde in drive my trailblazer would stall, changed the air filter now it's not stalling and got my power back ,there is a secondary air pump that i have to change ,
not sure were it is ? still not running perfect but it's running better .and my service light is on too.
i got it put on scope ,it's the pump .
not sure if this helps ,but i'm start to run in to problems too,i have a 2004 trailblazer.
i like to do fix things myself ,i hope i can.it's the cost if you know what i mean.
