2014 GMC Sierra 1500 Logo

Can anybody help me fix this problem? I have a 2014 gmc sierra 1500. I have the automatic dual climate control. Both a/c and heat work perfectly on manual mode. But when i switch it to auto, the a/c comes on and blows cold air. When its mid january in canada and the outside temp is -10 and my control is set at 25-30, i think the heat should come on. Instead the a/c keeps blowing ice cold air. As soon as i put it in manual mode, i get nice hot air again. What is my problem? Thanks.

Could be as simple as a molex plug not properly seated. I highly suggest that you have it checked out by your dealer. Warranty Issue.
A thumbs up would be greatly appreciated if this answer was helpful to you.

The automatic module for the system needs checking or replacing

  • Anonymous Jan 25, 2015

Really?? This is a brand spanking new truck. Ive only had it about 3 weeks. I was wondering if there was some sort of setting that needed changing in the intellilink system.

Then you problem can be solved under waranty by the service division of the company from where you bought it. It is always possible that the wires were not properly fitted during assembly, a faulty unit was installed or any number of things that will be covered by the warranty

2004 gmc 1500 heat is only blowing on passenger side. driver side is blowing cold air.

sounds like you have dual zone climate control in your truck. Most likely the actuator that controls the temp door in the HVAC box

2000 gmc sierra 1500 5.3 v8. a/c heater control problem

your heat/cool and vent selection options are controlled by engine vacuum through small clear tubes attached to the rear of your climate control interface. Other vehicles have small steel pull wires that operate the desired changes. You might try removing the trim and any fasteners affiliated with the interface/console. GENTLY pull outward and look to see if any of these tubes are pulled off or cut/damaged. Did anyone recently install a new stereo in the vehicle? If so, the vacuum tubing and or pull wires that change your outlets could have been damaged when the stereo unit was pushed into place. Hope this helps
