FUSE/FUSE RELAY BLOCK/ OR SHIFT MOTOR// START WITH FUSES AND THEN RELAY BLOCKS. AND THEN SHIFT MOTOR LAST.. GO TO A PICK AND PULL SCRAP YARD FOR THE SHIFT MOTOR AND RELAY BLOCKS..
There is a 10amp fuse for the gauges and the circuit that turns on the alternator. I think the fuse is in the engine compartment fuse box but your owners manual would tell you for sure. You need to know if that circuit has power with the key switch on. The wire going from the fuse to the instrument cluster is red and yellow and the wire between the cluster and the alternator is lite green and red.
this may help bud, circuits are related, instrument cluster microproce, to acc. relay, to windows and radio...check underhood fuses(central junc. box) real good. I had a few of these in with shorts left footwell(driver's side) below e-brake area, under carpet. Fuse 41 10amp was the one on my end.
Your front drive axle and transfer case is controlled by the General Electronic Module (GEM) as well as by vacuum lines. The problem could be in the switches, the shift motor, the wiring, the vacuum lines, or a failure of the GEM. It would be best to scan your GEM for fault codes before any attempt at diagnosis.
Check fuse #6 20amp on your interior fuse panel it may be blown. The relays are located in an auxillary relay box located under the hood on the drivers side fender near the firewall. The system uses 2 relays. One relay turns on for left turn signal, other relay turns on for right signal. Both relays turn on for brake lamps. The fuse #6 is more likely the problem. If the fuse is blown, replace it, wiggle the wiring on the trailer while someone steps on brakes to check for shorts.
