make sure shifter all the way in park,turn steering wheel back and forth while turning key to lock and remove key, if this works the ignition lock linkage is probably worn and needs replaced
You may have tripped the theft immobilizer if your original key had a chip in it. Try disconnecting the hot (+) wire on your battery for 10 min. and then using your original key to start it.
you need to first install one of factory key into ignition.turn ignition switch on position for 5 seconds.switch off the ignition and remove key.wait 7 seconds insert new key into ignition switch.and switch ignition on until alarm system warning lamp will flash twice mean key programmed. switch ignition off if warning light illuminate for 3 seconds to confirm or flash 3 times indicate registration has failed. if you fail on programming new key let dealership reprogram new keys using diagnostic equipment.
most remotes dont need programing.. check the battery in the remote...and remember that the other person could have dropped it in water..so i could be a short to...
the foglights should come on with the key on and the headlight switch in the marker light position where the running lights come on but the headlights dont. if not its probably a fuse
You probably have to replace the control unit or module for the anti theft mechanism. It normally looks like a small black box. Or , did you change your key , if yes you would have to reprogram the module to accept the key. If you have more clarifications just e-mail me. Thanks.
you gotta make sure you re-plugged it properly, when you unplugged it a small piece of debris, may have fallen in, gently blow on the connections and re-plug it
