Replace the fuel pump. You have a fuel return line. This adds heat to the fuel tank. When the pump gets to a certain temperature, it shuts down. Adding cold fuel retracts the pump and it works again.

sounds like it could be plugged injectors or a timing problem.

Check your ECM fuse. There should be 2 fuses for your ECM. It's the ECM that controls the function of the fuel pump. Good luck friend and it's also common for the wire harness from the frame to the fuel pump to go bad due to corrosion from the bad weather we get in the winter and rainy spring and fall.

SOURCE: The 4wd is not working on my 2003 gmc yukon,

Does the truck have a push button selector on the dash? If so, you need to replace the drive motor on the transfur case.

My 2003 yukon died but was low on fuel

If the engine does not crank, I doubt it has anything to do with the fuel system. You would need to find out if you have power at the starter posts when the key is in start position. Will it crank in neutral, and is the security light flashing ?

Suddenly stalled in traffic, gas was low but I dont think empty. Added gas would crank but not start. Alternator pulled and tested OK. Still won't statrt seems to not be firing.

spray WD40 into intake, if it acts like it wants to fire, it is a fuel problem, more then likely the fuel pump. Now if it doesn't act like it wants to fire then it is in the ignition senor, distributor. Hope this helped Tim

Dash goes dead and sometimes the truck fires & stalls quickly.

GM is known for faulty ignition switch on that model.

ABS brakes

Your ABS sensor in the front left wheel is bad, this may also meen your wheel bearing is gone. Jack up that side and put you hands on the top and bottom of tire then shake it. if the tire moves alot you need to replace the wheel bearing.

Take carborator cleaner. First take off the big hose on the front of your intake then press gas peddal to open up and then spray it inside this fixed my problem. Jerry

2003 yukon

Check your fuel pressure, could be a faulty fuel pump. Could also be a cracked spark plug wire or ign coil.

Really need to take to a shop or diagnose yourself. As the saying goes, the prob is "Fuel or Fire"
