Check for blown bulbs on your blinkers first all of them.

The governor pressure sensor is the most likley cause however an inspection of fluid or debris in trans pan would be a good idea to make sure there's nothing excessive in it. Attached is a list of possible causes however the senor would be the most common.

POSSIBLE CAUSES

  • Powertrain control module
  • 5 volt supply circuit open
  • Check transmission fluid level and condition
  • GOV press sensor signal circuit shorted to voltage
  • GOV press sensor signal circuit shorted to sensor ground
  • GOV press sensor signal circuit shorted to ground
  • GOV pressure sensor signal circuit open
  • Sensor ground circuit open
  • GOV press sensor signal circuit shorted to voltage inside transmission
  • 5 volt supply circuit open inside transmission
  • Intermittent governor pressure solenoid
  • Internal transmission problem
  • Oil burnt or oil pan has excessive debris
  • Other transmission DTC'S
  • GOV press sensor signal circuit shorted to sensor ground inside transmission
  • Valve body

the only problem that vehicle has is with cooling fans is relay/module or electrical harness to module that burns up located behind and under right front headlamp assy must remove headlamp to access relay/module that is what powers up fan motor module assy.

My 1999 limited does this. When i bought it off the guy he said that its because of some flap down by the passengers left foot. In mine the passenger air barely even blows because of this.

Replace the fan relay switch. The dealer will charge you 400 to pull the bumper off, or you can buy the part for 45 and cut the hole in the plastic near the passenger headlight assembly and replace it yourself. There are instructions for this procedure on the web somewhere. I have had this problem more than once with my 02 GC V6.

SOURCE: 98 grand cherokee asd relay blowing fuse

The fuse it doing it's job, you have a short ( Wire that is connected to a ground, that draws too much power )

If you have an electrical schematic ( Repair manual ) find out which wires are connected to that fuse and check them for any chaffing, cuts, unnesassary twists, or corrosion.

If you have a ohm-meter, isolate the system ( by disconnecting the fuse, and other connections. Then check for any resistance on wires that should not be connected ( because you disconnected them ) by having one Lead on the wire's connector and the other meter-lead on your car's frame. A good wire will not have continuity if it is isolated.

My 2002 jeep grand cherokee laredo wull not start shutdown 2 days ago checked all fuses but the ecu fuses don't know how to find them

According with your other quesions, the DTC P1491 code is actually radiator fan control relay circuit.
Soft reset if the battery disconnect would have erased the code; the first thing I would replace for that code (fan relay).
Additionally, its possible thta your THEFT system is activated, check owners manual to disarm. Check details here:
- Grand Cherokee fuses

- Diagnostic Trouble Codes

Hope this helps.

2002 jeep gr. cherokee laredo overheats only when sitting at an idle, temp comes back down when heater and fan are turned on full blast as long as jeep is moving

you electric fan probably isnt working with vehicle warmed up lift hood and watch temperature gauge when it starts to over heat check to see that fan is working if not it could be the fan relay or fan itself if the fan does turn on its most likley the thermostat

What is the brake light fuse number

actually there are no fuses directly connected to those items

instead, the fuses power either a relay or a module

however, you should still check these...
#4, #6, #20 and #23
all located in the junction box behind the dash

I have a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with the

If you put the thermostat in correctly (spring towards the engine) that should be OK. Likely if the water pump wasn't leaking or had a bad bearing, you wasted your $ on that.
If you re-filled it and did not have the heater on high heat, you may have some trapped air in there. But, still overheating says another thing. If you have a blown head gasket, it can pump compression into the cooling system and drive the coolant from the core. It will also overheat. You can have that tested at most any decent shop that will do a hydrocarbon test to find that.I think someone makes a chemical test kit for that but not sure if it's very expensive or not. White smoke from tailpipe will also be an indicator as will be any coolant in the engine oil or coolant on one or more spark plugs. If it turns out that it has a head gasket problem don't stop looking for problems as often a faulty fan or obstructed radiator can cause the initial overheat that caused the gasket to fail.

Try the hazard switch.Do all the blinkers work? This may be a loose connection to the lamp. The window and lock system are on seperate circuits so very unlikely they are related. There is a seperate relay for the blinker and hazards,so a single blinker not working is either bulb or wiring.Widows are operated by motor so check the fuse, wires and and actuating switch. (Door trims off). Also check its not just jammed.Locks, check fuses, switch wires for damage or looseness and the actuator is working.Check the actu. rods are not loose are bent.(need the door trims off for this).Quite a few different things but hope this helps
