So you can fill up to 7 quarts.This is for complete empty oil chamber.
So drain the old oil completely and then add new oil.

Transmision oil for Audi A4 (1.8, 1.8T, 1.9 TDI): Manual gearbox (5 speed): - Capacity = 2,25 liters - Specification: Gear oil SAE 75 W 90 (synthetic oil) Part number G 052 145 S2 (1 liter) - To check oil level, unscrew oil filler plug placed on the left side of the gearbox in front and near of transmission axle, using an Allen 17 mm key. - Check oil level with locally manufactured tool, e.g. a piece of angled wire. - Specification: oil level 7 mm below bottom edge of oil filler hole. - Install oil filler plug, tightening torque = 25 Nm.
Power steering fluid level checking:
- vehicle stationary
- front wheels in straight ahead position
- engine at normal operating temperature
- remove cap with dipstick from expansion tank and wipe off
- reinstall cap with dipstick and remove again
- fluid level between "min" and "max" markings
- top off with G 002 000 hydraulic oil if necessary
Power steering system capacity is around 1 liter, but it is not necessary to periodic change the hydraulic oil! If oil level has dropped to the "min" marking, check power steering system, including hoses and lines. It is not enough simply to top off the hydraulic oil !!!
oil type is either 5W-30W or 10W-30W depending how cold your climate is, as far as having the car properly taken care of, the Audi dealer is the best option, they have all the proper tools and service info needed to keep the car in top running condition.
