6 speed tremic t56 manual gear box wont hold in revere wont push right into gear have to hold gear stick so doesn't jump out
It because of the forks inside the transmission are worn out or they have lost their plastic pieces on the fork ends.(some transmissions are built this way, plastic). you have to pull the transmission to fix it.

i suspect the modulator might be faulty and mayby
trans. filter would need replacement

You will need the Chev pressure plate to suit the Chev flywheel and a clutch plate to suit the Ford ZF gearbox. Ford ZF throwout bearing and clutch fork should be fine.

The instant it drops below the middle of the guage overdrive kicks off. Replace the button or its possible a sensor has gone out. It's located right next to the water temperature sensor on your head, just to left of the "Coolant Christmas tree".
