I have 1992 cdilac sedan deville traction contol lite stuck on i have 2nd and 3td gear only so i replace tranny and still avethe same problem

Tranny has 2nd and 3rd gear only replaced tranny with good one still have same problem traction control lite is on

You replaced something that is not connected to the traction control. Run the fault codes and fix the faulty sensor.

    the words TRACTION CONTROL should have been the indicator as to where the problem was
    Always run the fault codes first, regardless, for anything and as there are shops that will do that for free it is the first step in fixing a fault cheaply

Nope, they didn't know what a limp mode was back in 88. You might try running an additive through for a bit, then doing a filter and fluid change, but those early ones were fully mechanical exept for the lockup on the converter.

How to shut the traction control lite off on a 1992 Cadillac deville
traction control is governed by the ABS system computer module.
So if you are getting indicator on the instrument panel, one or more of the ABS sensors has gone faulty -- replace it once you find out which one it is. But check all the wiring from the ABS sensore first.

The tranny was not the problem but a shift solenoid might be . Run a fault code check .

schyncronizers are worn out also the center pin in the shift lever has either broken or backout of its hole cause the shifter to go into 2 gears at once pull the shift lever and look!! at the center pins that hold the shift lever to center

1995 cadilac deville has problem shifting from 1 to 2 gear
You don't have torque converter shudder. You don't even mention that in your original post! You def had a solenoid issue. My 94 STS did the same thing. I only had reverse, 1st and 2nd gear. Wouldn't shift outa 2nd period. It was a $200 solenoid repair. Car had a 160K on it when that happened. I have almost 170k on it now. Shifts and works fine. you don't need the tranny replaces ad josavv63 indicates.

check all wires from trans and connectors to pcm look for rubbed or pinched wires on frame and body repair as needed if you find pinched wires cut out were they were pinched and resoider wires.

Acceleration lazy in 2nd gear
Try chaecking the tranny fluid to make sure it's at optimal level. After that if it still has issues, Try getting your clutch and gear plates checked. If it's an automatic have your Torque converter checked for poor connection.
