Firing order for and diagram for a 5.9 4wd 2000 dakota

I was surprised to find Dodge still using a distributor on this engine.
The firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 and the cylinders on the driver side are 1-3-5-7.

I just recently had to change out my third front right wheel bearing. Now my 4wd light is coming on on the dash. Why am i having to change the bearing out so much and what caused my 4wd light to come on?

You may want to question the quality of the parts you are installing, and what is going bad about them? As for the 4WD light on, you will need it scanned, it may have a trouble code to determine where to start checking.

2001 Dakota AWD truck is stuck in 4wd. When I try and switch it back to AWD indicatior light on switch blinks but it stays in 4wd.

hard to explain this one without getting to technical. down on the transmission or front differential is a solenoid for the 4 wheel drive. it sticks in cold weather and needs to be replaced. this should be done by a reputable shop as its kinda involved to do

When do I need to service my 4WD on my 2006 dakota

If its in 4WD thats normal. On hard, dry, pavement its binding up because the front wheels and the rear wheels are turning at different speeds.

2001 Dodge Dakota 4WD Quad Cab: engine RPM's too high/jumpy

could be a lot of things. I personally would start with your vacuum lines... check for a leak somewhere. You can do that by spraying carb cleaner (if motor tries to die, you found your leak), or it could be a sensor, likely idle air control, mas air, etc.)

Rear Wheel Cyclinder

Measure the old rear wheel cyclinder and it should find out if you have 9" or 10" cyclinders or you can take it to the auto parts store and they can match it for you.
