SOURCE: Problem just started with alarm, it's been fine
If it is a after market alarm you can have it put in passive mode to stop it from going off and disengage the engine kill switch system.

Hey just wondering if you ever go this problem fixed. I am having the exact same issue. Thanks

Most commonly if this is a bad receiver, when receiver start going bad they will work and not worked intermittently. The most you can do at this point is try to reprogram the system and see if it begins to work properly again otherwise it's gonna be time to replace the receiver. Part of the receiver is working, see the receiver receives your signal
but then it must perform an action and it's the action part of the
receiver that has the problem.
If the reprogramming must be done at the dealer with a factory scanner, unfortunately the other scanners available will not do this.
Keep in mind that the best place to possibly get a replacement key fob would be from the dealership. They will be able to sell you the fob and program it to your vehicle for you as well. Also if you need any extra keys you can get them there as well.
Hope this helps. Keep us updated.

one thing you can do that usually works if you don't have the money for the key fob right now is lock all the doors and then unlock the hatch with the key and then unlock the drivers door with the key. that should disarm it and you should be able to start it.
