2000 CHEVY TRACKER **** AND SPUTTER IN LOWER GEARS. WHITE SMOKE FROM EXHAUST, BAD SMELL UNDER LOAD.

bad shift solenoid in transmission ,and white smoke is because you need head gasket,it is broken and you are mixing fuel with coolant, that will cause bad cat converter soon, and your engine will die soon due oil and water mix ,will kill your crank shaft and cam shaft bearing,(check your oil see if it look like milk shake, that is very bad)

How do you check and change a camshaft position

The camshaft sensor wouldn't explain the clattering noise. But a timing chain would explain both. Clattering from a loose chain and the camshaft sensor code from when the chain broke and the camshafts stopped turning.

I need a serpentine belt/routing diagram 2000 chevy tracker.

For the 2000 Chevrolet Tracker:

Most modern vehicles have the Belt Routing Diagrams on the undeside of the Hood. But the sometimes disappear.

I do not know if you have the 1.6L In-Line 4-Cylinder, or the 2.0L DOHC In-Line 4-Cylinder. Nor what Engine Options you have (AC/No AC, etc.).

Let me know if this helped, or if you have additional information or questions. Feel Free to contact me at FixYa.com!

I have a 2000 chevy tracker right turn signal nonv op when towed

its possible you may need an innerface that goes between the motor home & the tracker. The tracker most likely uses a seperate brake light bulb from the turn signal bulb & your motor home uses the same bulb for turn and brake light.

Lack of power and rough idle

Is your "check engine" or "service engine soon" light on? Lacking power is usually an emission system problem, for instance possibly a bad EGR valve or mass air flow senser. O2 sensers are common to fault but normally doesn't cause power loss usually causes alittle rough idle. Could even be a pluged catalic converter to. have the truck plugged into a scanner, that will tell you the trouble codes and fault info.
