There should be a fuse in the radio itself on the back side. Check that one too.

Some German cars have anti-theft device inside to make it useless to steal...check at the dealership to see if jumping the battery will activate this(the car thinks its being stolen) .

You may have some warranty left. Some DOHC engines have a special problem with Cam Phasers. The throttle position sensor could have been harmed by the jump. Have a dealer run the Vin#.

The electronics could need reeducating. Its possible that the brains could have new variables caused by the jump. It would not necessarily "burn out" the brain but flipped some settings with the extra power.

SOURCE: when I jumped my batterie i accidently reversed

There is usually more than one fuse for the radio.

in the instrument panel fuse block there will be an AUDIO fuse and an AV fuse. If the radio has an amp there will be an AMP fuse in the under hood fuse block.

If all three of those are good let me know and I'll try to help you further.

No sound on radio but it shows channels. 20amp fuse blown and new on blows when inserted

I assume you already replaced the 100amp fuse. I would say thanks a lot to the person who helped you jump your car and, don't let them touch it again. If the 20amp keeps blowing, you have a short to ground on that circuit, possibly the radio itself. Good luck.

The radio from my ford f150 wont turn on

I'd start by checking the fuses and resetting the electrical system by disconnecting the battery for about 15 minutes.

Battery good won't turn over

Its probably a starter or starter relay. try tapping lightly on the side of the starter as someone turns the key. if it starts its the starter. if you dont hear a click when turning the key its probably a starter relay. just in case though, if you havent already, check the fuses.

2004 Isuzu Ascender not cranking

Check your mega fuse. Hope you didn't try and jump it off the fuse box terminal next to the battery. Some people do this, will blow the mega fuse every time. Mega fuse is located in front of fuse box, held in by 2 bolts. Cheap fix if this is it.

Jumped dead battery; radio won't work

Sounds like they connected the cables backwards, there maybe a direct fuse on the back of the stereo that got burnt up.If there's not a fuse on the stereo than its probably damaged beyond repair.
