Sampson, sounds like a bunt out bulb, which will need changed.
If you feel comfortable doing it yourself. Basically three screws, and you have to pull one plastic fastener from the fascia (bumper) and pull the bumper back a bit, and pull the assembly out. I believe it is in the manual, not bad to do. I will post a link to tell or show you how to do it. Press the helpful button
First, check that the battery connections are clean and not corroded. If not look for the ground wires that connect to the chassis. Check to see if any are corroded or loose. Finally if that has no effect, you have a short somewhere in your wiring. The easy way to isolate it is to pull the fuses for each device one by one and see if the dimming stops. The last one to cause the dimming is the problem. If it happens when you hit a bump it also might be a ground fault in the interior car grounds....good luck!
1. Cabling to and from handle and latch is loose or stretched (normal wear) or broken. Replace and/or adjust 2. The latch is dirty or bent/deformed. Clean and lubricate 3. The latch needs adjusting, lubricating. Clean and lubricate 4. Misalignment of hood due to: wear, or slight bump/accident, nudge. Check for alighnment!
Try having someone pull up the hood while you pull the lever. This is a quickie only; then do items mentioned above...
