Question about 2006 Ford Focus
Have purchased a stolen and recovered 2006 Ford Focus hatchback and had to replace the ignition barrell, sterring lock and door lock. The vehicle will not start. I am asuming i will need to get the BCM out of the vehicle the lock assemblies came out of.
It needs to have a matching program for the ecm and the immobiliser. A new key cut to the existing barrel/lock and programmed to the vehicle ecm will solve the problem. Even if you get a new barrel and key you will still have to have it reprogrammed to the ecm and immobiliser system

Yes you need to match the whole system with the key BCM code ring and stuff, I would have thought the new stuff would have been a complete kit most salvage yards sell it that way.
