Try to open the back seat, most cars have a section where you can access the boot ( trunk) from the rear seat, and get as much stuff as you can out from there that way, what ever you do, don't get 8 of your friends to push and lay all over your trunk lid, as it will damage it, Im sure some part of the rear seat will have a section that folds down so you can get to ur stuff, taking it out will relieve pressure on the actuator which opens the trunk. if you cant find a seat section, take the whole rear seat out, it will only have 2 or 4 half inch 13mm / 9/16 ,14mm studs which will be on the bottom of the seat, depending on the car, its easy,. But please , if you value your car, don't have loads of pple lay all over it, rings, belt buckles, studs on jeans, etc, will damage your paint and dent your panel,

Kathy, TRY HAVING SEVERAL FRIENDS PUSH DOWN, COMPRESS THE TRUNK LID WHILE YOU USE THE KEY. IF THAT DOESN'T WORK...ON MOST CARS YOU ARE ABLE TO REMOVE THE BACK SEAT, BACK AND BOTTOM, AND START PULLING OUT WHATEVER YOU CAN. THIS WILL TAKE PESSURE OFF THE TRUNK....

Have a 2008 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited. It rolled over when I hit a curb at 15 mph or so. Now the car is dead. I disconnected the battery for an hour but still dead. Anyone know how to fix it?

What did you mean by 'rolled over'? If you have put the vehicle on it's roof, the safety features built into the vehicle's electronics will have turned on. The fuel and ignition systems will turn off and lock off to prevent fuel leaks and possible fires.

He seow do i remove rear seat cushion in 2009 toyota camry

I just replaced my rear struts on my 2009 Camry Hybrid. This was the second time in my life I ever did this kind of work. The trick is to get access to the top of the strut. You have to fold down the back seat cushions. In my hybrid there are two pull levers in the trunk that release the seats. The levers are at the top of the trunk.

Once you fold down the seats, there will be two side cushions on the side of the seats that did not fold down. At the bottom of that side cushion, between the side cushion and the bottom seat is a bolt holding the side cushion on. It is way in the back so you will need an extension with a 12mm socket to get to the bolt. Dont be afraid to dig you had into the space to find the bolt. Once you unscrew the bolt, you can lift up on the side cushion and it will come out (lift upward). You now have a clear (and easy) access to the top of the strut.

My 2008 Ford Escape has power. Lights work, wipers, everything works that has power but when I try to turn the key to start it nothing happens. I mean I don't even hear a clicking noise

Check the relays and fuses in the Power Distribution box under the hood. If all are good check the Alarm circuit ignition kill switch. If you didn't get the Alarm built into the vehicle but had it installed after you bought it remove the fuse from the Alarm power line to disable the kill switch. I did have this problem once and it turned out to be the battery on mine, a 2005 with Alarm built in. Unless you have the Hybrid version you could get in 2008 the vehicles are basically the same.

Hi, I bougth my new Volvo S40 in 2008 and never had any problem since then. Today, I found that I can not open the trunk, although the rest of the doors open fine. The central locking systems works...

If it is the same as the 2007 model.
The top of the key is a small slide switch.
You slide it and pull a vanity key out.If the glovebox has been locked it also possibly locks the boot with the same switch.
You will probably need to put key in glovebox lock and turn counter clockwise.
That key is to lock the seats to stop anyone getting into the boot via the fold down system as well.

Hope this helps.

Keys lock in trunk alarm will not allow trunk switch to lock

The solution is to pull out the back seat to get into the trunk. There are two bolts holding the bottom part of back seat (bolts located between bottom and top sections). Then pull out bottom section of back seat and you see the hinge for the top section, remove the bolts and then you can lift up and access the trunk. It's not that hard.

Locked keys in trunk

I believe you can remove the back seat and get into it. Remove the lower part of the back seat first and remove attaching bolts/screws to remove the upper part of the seat.
