MR988905 costs $300+

SNG O2 sensor is just below $100

they may claim being made with the same quality and both are tagged "direct fit" for easy installation.

SOURCE: Montero Sport, Automatic transmission fluid change

I definetly highly reccomend you to use Mitsubishi genuine Diamond SPIII Fluid, you'll feel your transmission more powerfull, and will help you to keep it just like new. I've tried with "Import multivehicle" from Castrol but a within 6 months the gears began to slip.

SOURCE: My 1999 Mitshubishi Mirage neutral light comes on

The 1st thing you must have done here is to have the electronic control module (called the "TCM") for the transmission checked for fault codes, the transmission is computer controlled through electric solenoids and other sensors whose input is used to provide proper shifting based on load, engine temperature, vehicle speed and transmission fluid temperature. Once the codes are checked you proceed with diagnosis based on that information. This test takes a special high end electronic scan tool.

When I put my 2000 Mitsubishi Montero in drive the drive light doesn't come on

None of the lights work? PRNDL. Or just the D. None come on replace the transmission safety neutral switch also called the range sensor. If just D the diode for it is burnt. Replace the instrument panel or I would just live with it.

I have a Mitshubishi Montero sport 1999 the transmision range sensor is malfunction. Where does it goes ?

Follow your shift cable down to the transmission, it will be attached to the end of it. Before that, clear the code and see if it comes back again. Could be just a momentary glitch.

Why does the neutral light blink 1999 mitsubishi montero sport

I had this issue. You may have a bad sensor on the transmission. There are a couple of sensors on there. When mine came on, It would not shift correctly. I would have to turn off the car, sometimes, and restart it for it to correct.

My 2000 mitsubishi montero sport every time i put it in reverse it jumps and it feels like it wants to peel out

If you have a check engine and possibly srs light on and your vehicle is seemingly slow to accelerate in dirve you could possibly be looking at a faulty shaft speed sensor or transmission range sensor
