I AGREE WITH THE OTHER ANSWER .THROWING PARTS AT IT IS A BAD AND EXPENSIVE ANSWER. THE CAUSE OF THE CATS TURNING RED IS TOO MUCH FUEL OVERLOADING THEM. I SUGGEST YOU DO A COMPUTER SCAN AND SEE WHAT CODES YOU HAVE. YOU MAY HAVE MULTIPLE CODES SO START WITH THE FIRST CODES FIRST. I THINK THE CODES WILL RELATE TO FUEL AND AIR MANAGEMENT SYSTEM. IF SO REPAIR THEM FIRST THEM CLEAR THE REMAINING. START ENGINE AND SEE HOW IT RUNS, THEN RECHECK TO SEE IF ANY OTHER CODES SET. GOOD LUCK
Okay I must not explained myself right.
Saturday morning I went to crank my car on and the battery was dead. So I got a jump from my moms bf and the battery was super dead. I went and bought a new battery. After that my car would crank right up but would stay on. After serval times of trying I went to autozone and rented the computer. I forgot wat the code was but it read CrankShaft Position Sensor. Also clogged cats . I think it read a o.2 but I cleared all the codes and the only one that stayed was the crank shaft position sensor. I went and bought the crankshaft sensor and put it on. I tried turnin my car on but it would stay on. I took of all 3 Catiylac converter of and clear them. I tried turning my car on while they were off to see if they were the problem but my truck wouldn't stay on.
