Drivers heated seat not working. Anyone know where to start?

Check the connections to the module and the element. There is help in the forums and videos as well, although not all on the Ford Flex, the idea is the same.

The heated seat module (MSM) controls heated seat operation for both the driver and passenger seats. There are 2 modes of operation available for heated seats; both the seat cushion and seat back heat, or seat back only heat. When a heated seat temperature signal request is received, the MSM will activate both the seat cushion and seat back heating elements. When the heated seat BACK ONLY mode button is pressed once the MSM will deactivate the seat cushion heating element and leave the seat back heating element ON.
The adjustable pedal system is controlled by the memory seat module (MSM).
your best bet , have a qualified repair shop check it out ! Could have DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes in door module , BCM etc...

The most common cause of this problem is that the drivers seat heater grid is open or burned out. That is based on 25 years as a Ford dealer technician.

Without knowing what vehicle you have Im just guessing.The element that heats up is a possibility that it may have a broken wire and the element needs replacing

Try this remove the ckt breaker for the power seats the ckt breaker is located in the fuse box inside down by the drivers left foot. leave breaker out for about 10 seconds then reinstall it and see if the seat starts moving. If it does there is a reprogram for this and needs to be done by a dealer or someone who has access to be able to reprogram your vech.
several things could cause your heated seats to not work. If the seat and heated seat seat stopped at the same time could be the reprogram could fix it. If the heated seat quit working at a differant time it could be the seat heater element. get a schematic of the heated seat and ohm the wires for the element. If either element tests open then the element will need to be replaced. You might as well replace both of them at the same time since the seat covers have to come off to replace the seat heaters.(back and bottom ) If one element is bad then both heaters quit working.

you have a couple of problems first of all your drivers sd=ide heated heat pad is probably faulty, for your heating problem you may have to get the hvac doors recalibrated.

The controller could be bad but I would probe the related wiring first. From your symptoms it sounds like something can not handle the electrical load. You turn the F/R seat heater on but then you turn on the F/L and the whole system fails. It does sound like the source of the problem will be under the drivers seat. Testing needs to be performed to confirm and identify the source. Both seats share the same fuse and ground. This circuit may have a damaged wire or connector somewhere. Inspect and test as much as you can. Also look underneath the seats for anything. Customers are not aware that personal belongings and trash get pushed underneath the seats and will damage wiring. Also excessively moving the seat forward and back will weaken the harness over time. Please write back and let me know what you need. I have the very same problem, no seat heat on either side and no power seat control on the drivers side. anyone know which fuse or switch operates the drivers side power seat? Thanks

Could be that the wiring for the heater is broken, or that the heating element itself has been damaged. Has anyone knelt on the seat when reaching in to get something out of the car? Or has anyone stood on it (a child maybe)? Pressure like that can break the heaters and keep them from firing up.
