Question about Cars & Trucks
I just replace the radiator cup
I have a 2011 Hino 268. By mistake I overfilled the DEF fluid and now the level of the DEF in the tank shows half full, but the indicator shows that the level to be full. I drove almost 400 miles and the indicator did not change. Any thoughts or ideas how to solve the problem.

You could have a leak in the system. get the system pressure tested and checked for leaks. if no leaks are found it could be burning coolant.

SOURCE: DASHBOARD RADIATOR INDICATOR LIGHT COMES ON WHEN ENGINE IS COLD
you might need to get the water level sensor checked, it may be faulty

SOURCE: antifreeze smell and smoke coming out of vents
You have a coolant leak most likely in the heater core. Try disconnecting your heater hoses and coupling them together, then running the engine to see if the leak goes away. If it does, I would have the heater core replaced.

SOURCE: coolant in coolant reservoir did not fill low level in radiator
you must drain air out of system
so when engine is warmed up, just unscrew slightly the thermo time switch which is the highest sensor and unit in cooling system besides the reservoir, until alittle air releases then when antifreeze starts coming out then retighten to specs. BE VERY CAREFUL !!!! LOOSEN VERY SLOWLY AND NOT COMPLETELY REMOVE FOR THIS CAN CAUSE BURNS. MIGHT WANT TO USE A RAG AROUND SENSOR. If this doesnt solve it then make sure you have the correct rad. cap. Also that the filling hose is not clogged as well as the little port on radiator.

SOURCE: Blazer running hot. Antifreeze level low cause of
If you are seeing coolant on the top side of your engine, it sounds to me like it may be the intake manifold gasket. Does this have the 4.3L engine? If so, this is a common problem with these engines. If the leak is severe enough, the cooling system will not build up the pressure it needs and this will cause it to run hot. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: have oil in my radiator fluid reservoir tank (1996 v6 3.8)
Twice in two years now my Saab 9-5 has had a pin-hole in the oil cooler, which has caused oil to flow into the reservoir. A way to tell is if coolant/oil is coming out of the reservoir cap. The reservoir cap is rated for the pressure of the coolant system, which is significantly lower than the oil pressure. When there is a hole in the oil cooler, oil will be forced out at relatively high pressures, causing the reservoir to fill and then over pressurize and spill out of the cap.

I, having the same problem. Did you say you replaced the rad cap? I can't see any signs of leaks except the overflow. Coolant is not sucking back into the rad. I replace it and when it gets warm after 30 minutes or more, it sprays coolant out of the overflow, as the reservoir is already full
Haven't tried replacing cap yet, ($45!!)
