Question about 2005 Lexus ES330

My trunk light on my 2005 Lexus ES330 won't come on. I have checked the bulb and it is good.

I checked the bulb and it is not burnt out.

Check to see if there is a fuse if not check the trunk switch that turns on the light.

SOURCE: air filter, 2005 lexus es330

To the right of the engine there is a large rectangular plastic box which houses the air filter (just above the battery) On the right end of this housing there's two silver colored bolts, remove these bolts with a ratchet, extension and socket. Lift top of housing (lid) up from the right end - you'll see it swivels from the left end. Slide out used filter and slide in new filter. After making sure filter is seated properly, replace bolts.

Check the valet trunk button in the glovebox. if thats not selected then its most likely the switch. however its unlikely, ive never seen one go bad before.

It seems that my 2005 Lexus ES330 trunk light won't turn off. How to check whether the trunk light is off when the trunk lid is close?

Remove the bulb if you think it runs the battery down. the switch is part of the latch assembly of the trunk.

Can I replace the tail light Blub my self on my Lexus 2004 ES330 if not how much does is normally cost?

I have not worked on a LEXUS, but every car tail light I have seen was accessible from the trunk. You usually have to pull out some panels to get to it, but once you get your hand on the socket, it usually twists out CCW (about 20-30 degrees twist) but may just pull straight out. Take out the old bulb, replace, and reinstall the socket in the lens.

2005 Lexus RX330 HID ballast replacement, passenger side headlight. What is the removal procedure please?

I have a 2005 Lexus Rx330 with HID AFS headlight. My passenger side light went out. I thought the bulb burnt out, so I bought a new bulb. After replacing the new bulb, it happened exactly like my old bulb. It light up lightly and then total black out. What's wrong with it? I thought the ballast burnt. I called Lexus dealer and asked for the new ballast/transformer. Surprised me, they don't know what is it. They told me they only know the wiring harness and the socket, but not the ballast ??????? Could you tell me what do I need to replace?
