SOURCE: How do I remove Head Light assembly on my 1999 Lexus RX 300

After removing the top and side bolts (which are obvious) Go to the fender liner. Remove all but the top screw . You will find (by flashlight or shop light) two bolts coming out of the headlight rear. With a socket wrench and 10mm socket, remove the two nuts on the headlight and pull out the headlight from the front after insuring the bulbs are removed and identified for reinstall. Take your time. It is not difficult.

Hatch won't open on Ford Escape. I can hear the mechanism engage but the door won't budge.

Is there a lot of things inside the hatch area? A belonging may be trapped in the lock mechanism or whether stripping near the latch. You may want to ask another person for help. You push inward onto the hatch, close to the latch. Have your helper activate the unlock mechanism and then you try to open the hatch. This may take a few tries, be patient. If this fails to work. The cargo area will need to be emptied, the interior trim on the hatch removed and you or the shop will need to manually actuate the latch until it releases the hatch. Either a component has hailed of its the result of human error. Please write back if there is anything else. Good Luck.

Radio wont show display...yet radio works...a/c isnt blowing cold air....freon is full..and in the same area button to release rear hatch isnt opening it...nor is the key !!!

Radio is an internal problem. A/C, have your mechanic friend check the high and low pressures, along with the outside temperature when he checked it. Repost, I'll tell you what's wrong. And the hatch, there is a rod that unlocks it, it has came loose in the hatch. You have to climb in back and pop off the top bezel for the hatch. Then remove the screws on each side of the bottom bezel. Start popping it out, enough to reach down and open the hatch. After it is open, remove the screws at the handle on the bottom and finish popping it off. Replace the plastic tab that has broken for the rod. I suggest replacing all of them.

My 1992 saab 9000's hatch wont open when i put the key in and turn it, there is no release tab in the hatch area and no buttons on the dash to open it. what do i do to get it working? there isnt a saab...

Your best bet is to let the back seats down and crawl into the trunk. You can then remove the screw tabs holding the vinyl panel covering the hatch. After removing the hatch covering use a flashlight to see the linkage for the lock. Now you can open the hatch easily by just pressing the spring loaded portion on the lock mechanism.Voila.

How do you remove and replace the rear window wiper on a 2006 nissa murano?

Remove the wiper blade by removing the plastic clip that covers the 10MM nut holding the wiper arm on. Just get hold of the very bottom of the clip & gently pull outwards & you'll be able to remove it completely.

Inside back hatch, remove the "hand hold" by just prying carefully. The 3/4" little plugs with an 1/8" area in the center-press on the center about 1/4" in and you can remove the entire plug. Just reset that prong you pushed in to the outside of the attaching plug & after installing, you press on it to lock it in place. Remove the 2 interior lights, simply use a nylon screwdriver to prevent scratches, or a regular screwdriver gently on the end away from the switch & pry gently, it will pop out-remove the wires noting the way they fit. Once all of those & the hand hole is removed, the panel more or less flips from the bottom where you removed the items, away from the bottom of the hatch. That will expose the wiper motor & since the outer arm has been removed, just unplug & remove the obvious bolts there & pull it out. good luck

I cant open the glass on my back hatch any suggestions?

The glass hatch release handles fail all the time on these models (which is why the system was eliminated in 2009 models).

The glass hatch handle is $32 list from the dealer.

Removal and replacement requires a philips screwdriver and a 10mm socket and ratchet with extension.

Open the glass hatch by manually activating it through the access hole on the inside of the tailgate (small square panel covering it)

Remove the two philips screws and the one pop fastener holding the plastic trim on the back of the glass hatch handle area.

Remove the two 10mm nuts holding the handle on, unplug the wire and remove, noting the routing of the wiring on removal.

Reassemble in opposite order, being sure to route the wiring correctly.
