Again. You must have the interior lighting set to the on position. The interior Lightning switch is located in upper center console and has a door icon on it. If this button isn't turned on, no lights will turn on when you open your door.

2002 Grand Caravan. Overhead console lighted switches are not lighting. The Map lights that shine straight down works but none of the others back lights. Side door switch, rear gate switch, garage door...

The first thing that comes to mind is that the dash lights scroll dimmer is scrolled all the way in one direction which manually shuts off all the interior lights, even if a door is opened. At night turn on the parking lamps and then scroll the dash lights dimmer until the dash, radio face, overhead console, etc is brighter. Turn off the headlamp switch. Shut off the engine and exit the vehicle. Interior lights on? Hope this helps.

Interior lights stay on

either the lights are turned on manually from the headlight/interior light switch, or you have a defective door switch that is telling the module that a door is open, or you have a door that is open, or your module that controls the interior lights is defective. I would start with the simple things, I would make sure all doors are closed. If they are, then check the headlight/interior switch to make sure the interior lights are in the off position, then check all of the door switches. They are simple normally closed push button switches that should be mounted on the car frame near the door hinges.

Interior lights cargo lights remain on when doors closed switches will not turn interior dome light off or cargo lights when engine turned off and key removed from ignition and doodrs closed.

you need to check the door switches make sure that they work you can disconnect them and check to see wich one is bad you do this by opening only one door at a time and disconnecting it the one that turns the lights off is the bad one. and you can also check the dimmer switch sometime the wheel gets turned all the way over and the lights stay on also

My door open light stays on as do interior lights

Sounds like one of the door triggers has continuity to earth,(Shorted) Test them all with a multi meter.

Interior Lights

I'm not sure where the fuse is, but I'm pretty certain your door sensor is the source of the problem. In between the hinges on all your doors is a button that gets pressed and depressed when the doors open and close, this controls your courtesy lights, make sure none of them are broken, seized up etc.

Light staying on

This is usually caused by the switches sticking in the door latches. Try spraying some WD40 in the latches and open and close the doors a bunch of times that should take care of it.
