SOURCE: change fuel filter 1988 ford thunderbird 6 cylinder

In the trunk left side is inertia switch. rap ******* side with fist, causing button to pop up on top, when this happens the fuel pump will no longer receive power. Now try to start vehicle, should attempt to start and die. Fuel system is no de pressurized. PLease be careful as there is still some pressure in system! and remember to reset inertia switch when done by pressing pop up button back to the down position.

How much oil do i need to put in a 1990 ford thunderbird lx 3.8 L

4.5 quarts with filter change. Run engine until it warms a bit and the oil pressure indicates a readout. Let it set a while and recheck the level .

1990 Ford F150 w/302 runs rough/dies once below 1500 RPM

glad you wrote. You have the same problem that all older vehicles have with ethanol gas. Here's what you do. first, by 2 fuel filters for your truck(you seem to have a bad case). when you take it off, you'll see what looks like bad gas. it is; it's what ethanol does to the fuel and the fuel systems, the emissions, and the engine. on small engines(boat, mowers, etc.) it burns them up.

Change the filter, add a can of SEAFOAM to at least 1/2 tank(s) of PREMIUM gas. run it on idle for about 5 minutes. then drive it at least 50 miles before changing out the fuel filter again.

ethanol is like corn liquor, it puts water in the fuel, and turns the gas to a goopy substance. be glad you haven't burnt up the fuel pump(s).

add SEAFOAM every 3000 miles to your tank(s) and it will make it run great. it will clean up the valves, the egr valve, the fuel lines, and the sediment in the pump. and it will clean the injectors.

I think you caught it in time. let's hope so. good luck.

Check fuel pressure after replacing filter. Fuel pump may be going bad.

The truck died,it will fire then dies, its a 1990 with a 351 fuel injection.the fuel pump is working, changed the filter, there is fuel in the line for the injectors

check to see if you have a flapper valve that operates your feul injection if you do you might have to replace it.
