I want to change the motor in my pajero 2800 turbo diesel 1994 model. it has a 4m4o engine, I have heard about a 4m41 is it possible to make the change

Hi it might be a cracked head... You should do what they call a TK test to see if there is carbon in the radiator fluid. Any automotive supplies shop should have them. Its like test strips.
Give it a go and see what happens.

Hi, I have a Pajero 2800 Turbo 1995 Auto. It has developed a bad oil leak somewhere around the front right hand side (from the front) where there seems to be oil spraying over the pipes, etc. Can't see it happening with the engine running and have cleaned the engine off but still can't see where it comes from. It has emptied the sump! Any ideas?

in front of the deisel pump the gear wheel is slightly cut/chip mark to the back of it take it out, and place it on t or n (t for turbo n for non turbo) .normal timming is good .If not hand turn until #1 piston is up and #1 cam shaft lobes are not touching cup & shim then set pump to desired mark

Mitsubishi uses little dots for timming marks and usually line up with other dots one the head or block.
