I have a 1974 Ford F-250 and want to replace its diff and front suspension with 1974 f100 ones. Is that possible
Given the age of the trucks there should be old paper manuals and parts lists about where you can compare axle ratios, drive shafts, suspension parts etc. Try ebay. Would it not be easier to get another F250 front end?

I think if you put a pry bar behind the knuckle and give it a quick bump it will just pop out it has a ring on the inside that holds it in. Just uses pressure to keep it in place I will look in a few but I am sure that is what to do.

use a timing light, plug it in to the number 1 plug. there is a bolt that locks the distributor in place loosen it about 1/2 turn just enough to move the distributor back and forth clockwise and counter. it should be clockwise will advance timing and counterclockwise will ****** timing. there is a timing indicator on the front of the engine(index plate). crank the engine and adjust timing mark to correct setting. should be a decal underhood for correct timing in degrees.

They are sold at any auto parts stores for about $20.00.

No I'm not looking for an investor, this is my truck that I'm working at improving. As much as it would take a while because of financial constrains because of the rand/ dollar exchange rates seeing as parts can only purchased in USA, am not selling or thinking of doing so
Hey mate, you didn't say where you were calling from, you have a similar situation to here in the UK. Not much around in parts if you've got something a bit rare. I didn't suggest you cut your losses, I made a sensible suggestion that you work at locating some parts lists to compare the 2 front ends. Hunt them on ebay in the US and see whether its a good project?
Thanks I'll try eBay. By the way, I'm in South Africa
The parts to rebuild front ends are readily available from US parts houses. You don't actually say what is wrong with yours? The F100 was a lighter graded truck so I would be suprised if the front end was the same although that doesn't mean you couldn't swap it. Have you looked at rebuilding your front end or is it accident damaged?
