Question about 2003 Dodge Stratus
She run the fuel tank very low, she bought the car a month ago on salvaged title. the car ran well. she has driven it back and forth from redding to sacramento twice. no problems
If the starter wont crank over the engine, see if you can turn it over by the bolt on the crankshaft pulley. if it wont turn then you may have seized the engine

Timing belt is most likely cause of sudden shut down. The Stratus has a noninterference engine so no damage occurs and the belt change is an easy fix.Open the area. Remove the belt tensioner at the 7 o'clock position compress it and put a pin in the small hole to hold it, Line up the timing marks put the new belt on and pull the pin. Some times it;s the bearing on the crank pulley that fails. If you change it be sure to put the flange to the front, thats what keeps the belt from coming off.

If you live in a colder climate and you keep your vehicle in a garage, you might have condensation in your tank and your pump might be sucking water (condensation builds) Heet wont hurt your vehicle and works pretty well to get rid of water and ice build up. in my opinion the red (ISO HEET) bottle works better than the yellow.
