1995 Chevy p30 chassis builds pressure and applies brake while moving or setting until you bleed front brakes

All is new but power steering pump and boost pump had contamination in front brakes

Pressure build up in brake lines indicates a blocked compensating port in the master cylinder. The heat generated by brake operation is expanding the brake fluid which cannot return to the reservoir and so it is apply the brakes. If you have an ABS system on the vehicle have it checked out by an accredited brake shop for operation as well

Hello..I'm not sure what you mean when you say
"right rear brake calipers pick-up."

If you have power brakes with a brake booster, vacuum decreases in the power booster as the throttle opens. If you have a hydra boost system, the power steering pump provides the power assist. All system components (master cylinder, power steering pump or booster, power brakes proportioning valve, lines and fittings, calipers and pads and emergency brake) all need to be in good condition with no leakage or out of spec adjustments... to perform properly.

As you are loosing power while under heavy load uphill I would first check to confirm none of the brake calipers are hanging up (lift each wheel and check for free travel..no drag with brakes and emergency brake off)

The exhaust systems ability to flow freely is also critical. A plugged up exhaust system will not allow the free flow of exhaust gasses and severely limit the available power output of the engine...like driving with the choke plate closed.

Changing pump and bleeding power stearing on a 1983 buick riviera

1. Replace any hydraulic line showing external damage. Rubber hoses more than 4 years old should be replaced. Install new seals for all disconnected fittings (as required) and install an in-line power steering filter. Tighten all hose fittings to OE specifications. 2. Flush the entire power steering system using the vehicle manufacturers recommended fluid. Fill pump reservoir to the proper level.
3. Disable engine to allow cranking without starting. This can be done by unplugging the main power wire (large red one) from your Delco HEI Distributor unit. Block wheels, put transmission in neutral or park and set parking brake, then crank engine 5 to 10 seconds (avoid overheating starter motor).
4. Refill pump reservoir as necessary. Repeat step 3 until level is correct.
5. Enable the engine to allow starting. Start engine and let idle. Slowly turn steering wheel from lock to lock a number of times.
6. Turn engine off and inspect fluid level and condition. Add or remove fluid as necessary. If fluid is foaming, wait one hour then recheck level. Repeat step 5 and 6 until fluid level is correct and shows no sign of air. If the problem persists recheck installation and connections.
1. With engine off, apply and release brake pedal 5 to 10 applications to deplete accumulator reserve pressure. With foot slightly pressing brake pedal, start engine. Pedal should drop and then push back against your foot.
2. With engine running, turn steering wheel until lightly against steering stop. After 5 seconds return wheels to the straight ahead position and turn engine off. Apply and release brake pedal. There should be at least one power assisted brake application. Start engine and allow accumulator to recharge before moving vehicle. 3. Test drive vehicle.
NEVER operate any vehicle until brake and booster systems are functioning properly. Remember, your vehicle is only as good as it's braking system. Brakes are the singlemost important component on any motorized vehicle.

2002 chevy tahoe no front brakes only rear brakes

IT appears that only half of the master cylinder has bled properly. Try loosing the pipe nuts at the m/cyl and gently pump the pedal until you get fluid out of both lines. Then re-bleed the system starting at the longest line first ending at the shortest. Some master cylinders have a plunger fitted in the middle of the cylinder and this is there to still have brakes if a line fails. It may be necessary to remove it an plug the hole temporarily while you bleed the system as to stops one piston in the cylinder from moving and allowing proper bleeding

Yes, your brakes are boosted by the power steering pump rather than by vacuum. I don't think it's air in the system. More likely your pump has failed, but you can try bleeding the pump. Here is a procedure from autozone.com:

Observe the following:
Use clean, new power steering fluid type only Hoses touching the frame, body or engine may cause system noise. Verify that the hoses do not touch any other part of the vehicle. Loose connections may not leak, but could allow air into the steering system. Verify that all hose connections are tight.


NOTE Power steering fluid level must be maintained throughout bleed procedure.

  1. Fill pump reservoir with fluid to minimum system level, FULL COLD level, or middle of hash mark on cap stick fluid level indicator.
    NOTE With hydro-boost only, the oil level will appear falsely high if the hydro-boost accumulator is not fully charged. Do not apply the brake pedal with the engine OFF . This will discharge the hydro-boost accumulator.

Just Put New Brake Line On,Now Can`t Pump up Brakes After Bleeding.

WHEN BLEEDING THE BRAKES, YOU MUST HAVE A FULL RESEVOIR WITH CAP ON. START WITH PASS. REAR, PUMP BRAKE PEDLE ALL THE WAY DOWN ABOUT 3 TIMES AND HOLD DOWN. OPEN BLEEDER SCREW TILL NOTHING COMES OUT, THEN CLOSE. REPEAT UNTIL THERE IS NO AIR COMING OUT. IT IS IMPORTANT TO BUILD UP PRESSURE WITH ATLEAST 3 PUMPS IN ORDER FOR THIS TO WORK. REPEAT ON DRIVER REAR, THE PASS. FRONT, THEN DRIVER FRONT. HOPE THIS HELPS.

to do a complete job. you need to bleed all 4 wheels, starting from Right Rear. Right front. Left Rear. Left Front.

I need to know how to bleed the brakes on a 1999 chevy blazer

Start from right rear, then, left rear, right front, left front. Fill master cylinder. Have helper sit in car, have helper hold brake pedal down. open bleed screw. fluid and air comes out. close screw. release brake pedal. Continue until no air comes out. Move to next wheel. Keep an eye on master cylinder fluid level after each wheel.
