Every time I open the Drivers door of my 1996 Lincoln Continental, it begins to chime aggressively, and the chiming continues until I close the door. How can I disable the door chime which is triggered every time I open the Drivers door of of my 1996 Lincoln Continental?

If key is on locks go down and pop up. If key is off, locks stay locked
SOURCE: on a 2000 lincoln continental the electric door
lock mechanism is wearing out and the motor is not power full enough to push all 4 rods at one time
All this comes from the GEM module,You will need to repair the driver door lamp switch located in the door lock assemble.
