Cannot remove key from ignition

Hope this helps:
Your vehicle is equipped with an inter- lock. Therefore, the ignition key cannot be turned to position 0 and removed until the selector lever is in position "P" (Interlock).

I have a 1997 528i bmw and i took the battery out and i can not get back into the trunk even with the key what do i do

You can get back into the trunk, this is tricky but i have done a few times use the key in the trunk key hole and turn key one way all the way and then turn the other way while slightly lifting on trunk.

try it a few times it is tricky but trunk will open, there is something about the way the lock is set up due to it using battery voltage to open it, but with out battery it is funny, do not give up, turn key all the way both ways, the key will turn a little further to the left i think to open trunk. good day. let me know the out come.

I have a BMW 528i 1996, how do I know what battery to get? Needs a new battery.

Your battery type is dependent on the amount of built in electronics and size of engine.
Usually in cranking amps.
The place you buy them from will know.

Where is the battery location of a 2008 BMW 528i

It's not where you might think it is. The battery is actually in the trunk, mounted in a deep well covered by a lift-up panel. The 135i has run-flat tires, so there's no spare, jack or inflation kit. chances are if your gonna dissconect battery the anti theft system is gonna lock your radio where you need a code to unlock it and it will make your car need codes from dealer

1998 bmw 528i battery died. How can I unlock the

I am not familiar with this car, but most with electric locks can be unlocked the old fashioned way by placing the key in the lock and turning. Barring that, call for a wrecker or locksmith to open the car, or somehow get power to the electrical system to power the locks. If the hood is open, or openable from the outside, just use jumper cables to apply power. Perhaps you could get to the starter feed cable (or even the batter feed) from underneath the car. I hope this gives you some idea that is helpful in resolving your problem.

I have a 1998 BMW 528i, and the ignition is messed up, when i put the key in all it does is turns and turns "spinning"....I had to pull a fuse just turn the car off and then disconnect the battery so it...

A ignition is in two parts, where you put the key to turn it and a second part that is the ignition itself. Between the two parts there is a small flat pin or bar. This is where your problem is, the pin/bar is broken. You will have to replace the ignition to solve the problem.
