The front wheel bearings on your car are not sold except as a front wheel hub assembly with the bearing pre-installed, they run about $100.00 each, to replace them requires no special tools, all u do is remove the wheel, the brake caliper and the brake rotor and the hub nut, then the hub just slides off, u will most likely need a very large socket for the hub retaining nut.

Oddly enough when I search for this part, I either find only the hub assembly or only the bearing. That would lead me to believe that it must be pressed in for the front wheels. Now the rear wheels are sold as the hub assemble with bearing. Perhaps your mistaken? I see you're a Hyundai guru. Could you give use a part number to order for the 2.7 and 2.0 2003 Tiburon's?

Replacing front wheel bearing, which way does the nut rotate off.

Normal thread. Counterclockwise. The nut is **VERY** tight. Here's what I do:

Before removing the brakes, get someone to stand on the brake pedal. Use a long johnson bar with the socket on the end to remove the nut.

Good Luck.

Changing front wheel bearing 2003 tiburon how do i get the sensior off so i can take the bracket in to get the old bearing pressed out at the shop

There's one bolt holding the sensor in to the steering knuckle. Remove the bold an pull the sensor out.

When I changed my wheel bearing, the sensor was ceased in place and it broke when I tried to remove it. I had to drill out the bits of sensor that were stuck, then install a new sensor. The new sensor cost around $235.

Alternatively, you could follow the sensor wire to its connector, disconnect the wire and leave the sensor installed. But be aware that the sensor may be damaged when pressing the old wheel bearing out / new one in. In that case, the sensor would have to be replaced anyway.

Wheel bearing

The front 'hub' bearing is 'pressed' out. You have to remove the steering knuckle from the vehicle and using a hydraulic press, replace the bearing by pressing out the old one and then pressing in the new one.

2003 Hyundai Tiburon making a weird noise

Hello mpolci...The 2003 Tiburon was sold to the public with a defective clutch, it failed due to warpage and bad pressure plate... among other things. There are MANY class action lawsuits. Did you resurface or replace the flywheel when the clutch was replaced? Did you go with an aftermarket clutch kit, or factory? Also the slave cylinder on the 03 was known to have a defective valve.
You can try checking the levels and bleeding the system and if you still have problems, then it could be a release bearing, a loose clutch pad, or a broken pressure plate spring....If the clutch is still under warranty, i would return it to the installer.
Good luck, i hope this helps...please rate me a fixya.

Can not get the rotors off my 97 hyundai tibaron

Hyundai Tiburon 96-01 uses a outer hub system. To replace front rotors. You'll need front bearings as well. The bearing and hub will need to be pressed out of the spindal. Then replacement of bearing will need to be pressed in. From a shop.Or they can use a slide hammer to remove ,but damages the bearing. Best to buy bearing and have cash for an alignment job too. Then replace front rotors. Rotor and hub install is ez after you get bearing pressed.Rear rotor and bearing are bolt on though.

Change front wheel bearings

u will need to remove the brake cailper and the the brake rotor, then the hub retaining nut, that is a large metric nut, the bearing and hub must come off, then u will need to take this hub to a machine shop or the dealer and have the new bearing pressed in.
