So what issues are you having, or which issues do you want to diagnose first?

SOURCE: 04 pontiac grand prix wont start.

first remove the battery and take it to a auto parts place and have them check it. move on from there. if the battery is good the do a starter draw test. take a meter and hook it to your battery. now have someone try and start the car. if the voltage on the battery drops from 12.8 to below 9 volts then the starter is bad. if the voltage doesnt drop much at all then its prolly the solenoid both of which require starter replacement since most solenoids are on starters. if still nothing then check ignition switch. but before anything else ensure vehicle is in park. if it is in part use a meter to test neutral safety switch.

I had the same problem with my 2000 Bonneville SLE and I replaced the crank shaft sensor and it solved the problem. The crank shaft sensor is located behind the harmonic balancer. You have to take the balancer off to get to the part. You will need a puller to get it off. You will also have to take the fly wheel cover off and hold the fly wheel when you remove the nut from the front of balancer.

Can you mess a battery up by charging it over night

I assume the car would not start, that was the reason for charging the battery in the first place? Most modern battery chargers have a circuit that as the battery "fills up", drop the amperage to maintenance level or 2 amps. Pull the battery and have it checked. I would also have the alternator checked. It may not be working wright.

2001 chevy impala wont start just make a click sound started fine last night this morning nothing pls help its not the security thing either had that fix on the recall

Before you trouble shoot a car always charge your battery. It sounds like you have a loose Battery Cable to the Starter to me. This has happen to me that's how I know. To confirm this pull on the positive battery cable while someone else tries to start your car. Did it start? If it did not start then it's between your Battery and your Starter. Let's now check your Battery. Fully charge it again and make sure you have 12.6 Volts if your Battery does not take a charge it has a bad cell and needs changing. If your Battery turns out good then you have to check your starter or Solenoid and if one is bad change them both. Remove it and have an auto store check it to see which one is bad. I hope this helps you out. Let me know how you make out.

It seems on very cold mornings my 2003 Ford Escape does not want to start. So far this winter there have 4 instances when the vehicle would not start. In all cases, all I needed was a jump from someone...

Cold temperatures cause batteries to lose a great deal of current flow. Batteries use chemical reactions to create electric charge. The chemical reactions simply move slower at low temperatures. So, there really is just a minor problem here. I think if you buy a 2amp trickle charger and let it charge your battery at night before a cold morning start you'll find everything satisfactory. the charger will gently warm up and charge the battery. In the morning, the battery will be topped up and ready for a high-performance-required cold start. The charger is much less expensive than a new battery. But if your battery is more than 3 years old, you may consider getting a new one as yours has only about 25% of its life left.

Cold morn - not starting. Car was moved a few feet night before.

OK, so starting the engine uses a lot of battery power, and the engine needs to be left running a while to recharge the battery.
When it is cold batterys don't hold as much charge (not quite the correct technical term, but I don't want to go into battery mechanics and chemistry here). You either need to pop it on a trickle charger or let it run for at least 15 minutes.

1990 ford diesel non turbo

it sounds like your fuel lines aren't maintaining pressure and the angle is allowing too much fuel to drain out of the lines. i have the same issue with and older f350 diesel if i let it sit a while and it doesn't get started.
