P0700 is generic transmission code, transmission malfunction.. Have it read with a scanner to find the exact code. p0562 is battery voltage is low. Check positive and negative cables for corrosion and good connection. Also check the engine and body grounds. Make sure you have a engine to body strap/ground. They break. This could be the reason you're getting the p0700 code.

SOURCE: i pulled codes from a dodge grand carvan the code

Hello! The DTC P0016 inidicates a cranskshaft and camshaft misalignment. If you only replaced the camshaft position sensor - you may need to replace the crankshaft position sensor - which is located at the top where the engine and transmission connect.

Hope this helps and good luck! Thanks for using FixYa!

SOURCE: I get codes p0700 and p0740 on a dodge grand

P 0700 = EATX (Electronic Automatic Transmission Communication) Controller DTC Present. = An automatic transmission input DTC has been set in the transmission controller.
P 0740 = Torque Converter Clutch. No RPM Drop at Lockup. = Relationship between engine speed and vehicle speed indicates no torque converter clutch engagement.

Yes the Fluid and Filter Change should take care of this. However, Dodge, Chrysler, and Plymouth Minivans have had alot of Transmission problems over the years. Make sure that whomever changes the Transmission Fluid that they use exactly what is specified. Also, do not let any Mechanic talk you into a Superflush of the Transmission. This procedure does not change the Filter.

Transmission down shifting to 2 code po 700 or but it does not shift to 3rd gear anymore was resetting it 1st time lasted a month then every 2 or 3 weeks now i can"t reset it anymore no codes

P0700 Transmission Control System Malfunction OBD-II Trouble Code Technical Description Article by Dale Toalston ASE Certified Technician Transmission Control System TCS Malfunction What does that mean? Many vehicles have a control module for the automatic transmission called a transmission control module (TCM). The engine control module (ECM) communicates with the TCM to monitor the automatic transmission for faults. If the TCM detects a fault in the automatic transmission and sets a transmission related fault code, the ECM is informed of this also and sets a P0700 in the ECM memory. This illuminates the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) to let the driver know there is a problem. If this code is present and the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) is illuminated that basically means there is at least one transmission code set in the TCM's memory. P0700 is an informational code only. It doesn't point to a direct fault in the engine, only a general fault in the transmission. More diagnosis is necessary to identify what the transmission fault is. This requires a scan tool that will communicate with the transmission module. Symptoms Symptoms of a P0700 DTC may include: Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination The transmission may exhibit drivability problems like slipping, etc. Causes More often then not, the cause of this code is that there is a transmission problem of some kind. The TCM detected the problem and set a code. P0700 means that a fault code is stored in the TCM. However this doesn't rule out the possibility of a failed PCM or TCM (unlikely). Possible Solutions For a P0700 the only real solution is to acquire a scan tool that will communicate with the transmission control module. Extracting this code from the TCM will be the first step in repairing the fault in the transmission. If the TCM compatible scan tool will not communicate with the Transmission Control Module then that is a good indication that there may be a fault with the TCM itself. I have a 2005 dodge grand caravan What do the codes p077 and p0562 mean? and how do i fix it ?

The first code 77 is not valid. The other one is low system voltage. This could be a bad connection, bad battery, bad alternator and it could be causing the other code. Get the battery and alternator tested first. Then you need to use a meter to check connections from the fuse boxes.

04 2.7 intrepid wont start .p0344 p0700 p0562

P0344 Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Intermittent

P0700 Transmission Control System Malfunction

P0562 System Voltage Low

I would start with the P0562 issue. Check the battery voltage - it should be at a minimum of 12 volts (DC). You can try charging the battery with a trickle charger overnight and if the voltage does not come up to 12 volts then you should replace the battery. If it comes up to 12 volts then try starting it up if it starts you should get the alternator checked out at a garage. A simple alternator check is measuring the voltage at the battery you should get between 13.2 to 18.2 volts when the vehicle is running. The low voltage may be the cause of the other two codes. If not the P0344 indicates you may need to replace the sensor or if the timing slipped you may need to replace the timing chain / belt. The P0700 could indicate a low fluid condition or it may mean take it to a transmission mechanic.

DODGE CARAVAN 2007 AND CODE PO480 + PO562 + PO700 AND FAN COOLING REST OPEN WHEN THE KEYS NOT IN CONTACT THANKS

I just had the same codes a week ago. P0562 & p0700. Found that they were both related to a battery with a dead cell. The p0562 (low voltage code caused by no good battery) causes the transmission control module (p0700) to not receive the correct voltage and act up when drawing power from the battery due to dashboard, starter, etc. drawing from battery as well, With the keys in the ignition. I changed the battery to a new one. Removing the battery will reset the codes and with the new battery the codes may not re-appear, provided there are no other codes pending that could be causing the p0700 code. Some conditions you may experience are 1) no start 2) clicking from the tcm 3) clicking from the starter 4) the dashboard lighting having a life of its own coming on and off, dimming, etc. note: when this happened to me (all of the above) I tested the battery and it was ok, but the problem existed until the New battery was installed. Still runs good now
